Customer Reviews: - excellent sound but...
... even with 3 pairs of different earbuds, I cannot find a way to get an almost full isolation... or better that the ones that I get with this ones:Sennheiser CX300-B Earbuds (Black)...more info - Great sound not quite full enough
I bought these along with a pair of Griffin EarThump Earphones (Black) a few months back, and it took a little while to determine the winner. After burning them in as is suggested, I have tested them out on a variety of different music genres and have concluded that they are good earbuds, but are not quite as good as the Griffin EarThumps. The one thing that is missing is the full bass sound... it just doesn't deliver an enveloping, wide range of sound with the bass. Everything else is great... wonderful detail, excellent treble, good volume, fairly comfortable, etc. I'm not disappointed at all... it's something I wouldn't have noticed if I couldn't switch back and forth between earbuds for a comparison. Nevertheless, the EarThumps sound a little better to me and are half the price.
I also recently received a new set of earbuds Woodees IESW100B Inner-ear Stereo Earphone with Microphone that may be a good option in between the JBuds and the EarThumps. They have better range than either, but cost more and have a little distortion when I really crank up the music....more info - JBuds Not Premium
As was contributed by a recent owner of these earplugs, I also found that they lacked any high end frequency response. I am presently happy with $10 Skull Candy ear plugs. In a direct comparison to the original Apple earbuds, the Skull Candy sounded better on the low end. I was looking to improve on my Skull Candy experience and thought that the original MSRP for these JBuds would be an indication of better sound but I was disappointed.
Amazon was very good about accepting my returns....more info - not that great
These earbuds are definitely comfortable, but sound quality is not superb. That and they died after a month and a half of use. I only used them while at work to listen to video conferences, which amounts to maybe a handful of times. Had I known they would be so bad, I would have just ordered some cheap ones. I'm sure those would have lasted at least 2 months....more info - What a disappointment!
I was looking for some earbuds to replace the ones that came with the Ipod which kept breaking and didn't quite fit snugly in my ears. I liked the design of the JBuds and the reviews gave it pretty decent marks for the price. I've had them for a week now and I noticed that they seemed to sound a little thin. I listen to my Ipod via my car stereo during my commute and the quality is good. When I park the car and swap out the car stereo output and plug in these JBuds to the Ipod, the audio was tinny. I even turned on the "bass booster" setting on the Ipod with very little improvement. Tonight when I got home I decided to confirm my suspicion by swapping back and forth between the JBuds and the Apple earbuds that originally came with my Ipod........WOW....it was like night and day! The Apple earbuds were AMAZING by comparison. The JBuds were like listening to music on an AM radio station. What a total bust. The only thing that might improve the sound would be experimenting with the different earpieces but I don't see how even that can produce the massive improvement these would need to come close to the Apple earbuds. I just assumed that the JBuds would be at least on par with the Apple earbuds if not a LOT better....but boy was I wrong. I didn't even save the packaging or paperwork so I can't return them. I'm now switching back to my old worn out buds rather than listen to the thin, bassless audio I get from this product. I'm basically left with a worthless set of earbuds and $30 poorer. I'm not sure what those reviewers who gave this 4 and 5 stars were hearing, but I heard nothing but bad audio....more info - Jbuds
Pros: Sound quality is excellent and the earbuds really work well in isolating outside noise.
Cons: These things easily fall out of your ears! If you don't mind putting the earbuds in your ears every once in a while, this product is quite excellent for the price....more info - Decent.
Honestly not a bad pair of headphones at all but in comparison to my previous set, they failed to impress me. After the initial burn-in process, they definitely sounded much better but still not on par with my old headphones (which were much cheaper)....more info - JBuds J2
Good value. Fair noise isolation. Fair to good quality of sound. The interchangeable ear buds allow one to fit to various sized ears. I have not had a problem with the them falling out when working out. I would buy again....more info - Jbuds

Cons: These things easily fall out of your ears! If you don't mind putting the earbuds in your ears every once in a while, this product is quite excellent for the price....more info - earbuds stopped working after a week
After a week of great sound, they suddenly stopped working. I figured out that the jack that goes into the ipod is not long enough therefore you have to push really hard to get it to pick up a signal. 5 stars if you fix this...more info - These earbuds are the best
I bought several earbuds before I trusted the reviews on Amazon and I couldn't have made a better choice. Everything in the description is true. ...more info - JBuds J2 Premium Hi-FI are Noise Isolating Earbuds...and stay put
The JBuds J2 Premium Hi-FI Noise Isolating Earbuds live up to their name. I use them mainly in a gym, and you have to take them out if you want to hear the people talking to you. Probably a good idea since not being able to hear yourself makes you talk louder than you intended. I've also used them on a plane flight, and they help block out the engine drone. I normally have a problem keeping buds in my ears. I tried the large and medium inserts that came with the set, and they both stayed put, even all sweaty on the treadmill. Sound quality is decent, plenty good enough for what I use them for. ...more info - I like them.
Listen, these aren't the BEST headphones ever, but they're probably some of the best you can get for this price. They come with the multiple sizes of ear insert thingies, so that's convenient, and they are a lot more comfortable than regular earbuds. I frequently leave my headphones on for long periods of time and they rarely ever make my ears sore the way that a lot of other headphones do. As for sound quality, well... they're a lot better than the SkullCandy pieces of crap headphones I had before. I like the effect of the headphones plugging your ears. I don't know how to describe what this does to the audio quality, but it's good. Really, the only problem I have with these headphones is that it's tough to clean the earwax out of them....more info - Waste of money
They worked perfectly for 3 months but then the problems started. At first the volume in the left earbud would cut out and then come back on. They worked like this for a little while. Then developed a new problem. The audio cuts out completely unless I twist the cord at the plug. After reading other peoples reviews I'm not the only person with this problem.
I sent an e-mail to customer support and after 3 days without a response I sent another. Again no response. I guess I'm going to have to consider these a loss. Do yourself a favor and buy from another company....more info - thumbs down...
I was disappointed in these so-called "Isolating Earbuds" because they don't "isolate!"--and, I suppose,--that's why they were marked down. They are, if you want to listen while on a subway, inadequate to the task....more info - JBuds J2 Premium Hi-FI are Noise Isolating Earbuds...and stay put

The product is really good. I don't know how long this is gonna work, but as of today it is good....more info - A very nice upgrade.
These earbuds are a good value for the low price. As mentioned in the instructions they do get better after being used for a few hours so don't be put off at first listen. The included tips fit comfortably and are much more comfortable than you basic bare-bone buds. For my usage they don't pop out of my ear and canceling out most background noise makes them a winner! ...more info - Great headphones, horrible durability
I love listening to music and podcasts on these headphones, especially in crowded areas since they have relatively good sound isolation. However, my second set of headphones has broken in the last six months in exactly the same way. Both sets began having contact problems near the headphone plug (making it so that if you hold it in your hand just so, you can hear everything, but as soon as you let go you hear almost nothing). The company was very kind to replace the first set, but I'm not even going to bother requesting that they replace the second set seeing as it's too much of a hassle to have to replace a set of headphones every three months. If you want quality and *durability*, look elsewhere....more info - Good 4 me
OK, these ain't no BOSE or other Higher end headphones, but for what I paid for, these things are GREAT!! My wife uses one at the gym and I use one every so often at work. The noise isolation is good, so however they designed to headphones to do it, it's working for their product. Would I recommend this to other folks, yea I would, but always remember you GET what you PAY FOR!!!!!! oh yea I got these back in Dec. when they were B1G1...more info - Not active "noise-suppression" just "noise-isolation"
These are pretty good earbuds, I'd rate them along w/the Apple ipod buds. They are insertable into the ear canal and passively block external sounds (but not too well) I wear them walking next to a road and they hardly suppress noise at all, but neither do the other type I own. reasonable priced, no built-in volume controls. ...more info - They Sound Great, But Are They Waterproof?
I have owned my JBuds for about six months and really admire the sound quality they produce. I listen to a lot of heavy metal and progressive rock, so for all you geeks that are rating these little guys based on how they make Sony's Super-Hi-Def recording of Strausses "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" sound, maybe they aren't for you.
Anyways, two days ago I clumsily washed AND dried these babies with a load of laundry. I figured they were done for (I work with electronics, I know what water does)and was prepared to purchase a new pair. Surprisingly, however, the JBuds still work! The sound quality has not suffered and, on top of that, they are now clean.
Perhaps this resistance to water, detergent, and heat is a manufacturers defect......more info - Don't stay in as good as I wish they would
I bought thse in hopes that they would stay in my ears better than the ones that came with my IPod. well, they do, but still slip out. The sound quality is pretty good, though....more info - Great for casual use
I'm no audiophile; I know just enough audio terms to get into trouble! Aside from a nice pair of noise-canceling Sennheiser headphones, I've always used stock phones or cheap replacements bought at the store. But, I'm using my MP3 player much more lately and my stock earbuds pads had gone missing anyway. I didn't want to use my old pair of ear-covering headphones, so I decided to pick up a pair of nice ear buds.
I eventually decided, after comparing with others, to go with the J2 earbuds. Basically, everything the other reviewers have said is true. Be warned, the bass is very overwhelming, at least according to my amateur ears. After letting them break in by hooking them up to my computer for 24 hours, I can say there really is a world of difference. I had to fiddle with my equalizer a bit, but now they sound very full, and much better than my stock earbuds. They're not fully broken in yet, and it seems like they're holding back just a bit on the treble, but I'm confident it'll get better.
I bought the black/electric blue combination and while they look bulky in the package, once inside they fit comfortably, snugly, and fashionably within your ear. I also can play music at half the volume I did before without hearing outside noises (in this case, the sound of refrigeration compressors), so it should definitely save battery life on your players and block outside noises on medium-high volume.
In my opinion, these are a great deal for any casual/non-audiophile user. Amateur users will notice the bass, so let them break in for a while, but after that, you will find absolutely nothing wrong with these. I imagine audio enthusiasts will find some problems with these buds, but people like me should definitely give these buds a shot....more info - Good product, good (but hard to reach) customer service, bad postal service
Sound quality is good. My original pair had an audio channel stop working, so I contacted support.
I did have some difficulties contacting support, as their phone system does not support placing you on hold, so you either go directly to a person or hear a message stating that the best way to contact them is via email, and you can view their products online. I simply called again at a later time.
However, once I was able to contact them, I had no problems whatsoever arranging for a replacement. About two weeks later, I call again, and ask about why I had still not received the replacement. JLab offered to send me another replacement, this time with tracking information. Earlier today, the original package arrived, and was shipped via 2-day mail, to the correct address. :( I've had mostly good luck with the postal service, but mail this late is unacceptable. Not JLab's fault, though, and big plus to them for shipping another pair, even though it won't be needed now.
Overall, customer service is excellent, but somewhat difficult to reach at times. And, the postal service really dropped the ball this time....more info - Great for casual use

After getting totally overloaded with the sheer magnitude of earbuds AND the magnitude of reviews, I took the plunge with these. The sound is very good, they seem to be made well, and I like the color. No problem....more info - Great service, good sound, however not so good for cycling
I bought a pair of JBuds a year ago and the wiring worked itself apart and they stopped working. Jlab promptly sent me not only a replacement pair, but also a pair of J2s for free!
Sound is great from both, no complaints.
Now, I don't want to knock anything that is free, but I found that the original design is better for cycling (yeah, I know, it's dangerous to ride and have music going, but I'm on bike paths and the volume isn't blasting.)
The shape of the J2s sticks out much farther and creates quite a loud whistling noise when you get some speed up. So if you are getting these for on the bike, go with the sleeker, older and cheaper design. ...more info - Good buds compared to iphones
These are much better than the ones you get with the iphone because they fit sungly in the ear. This is good for cancelling out the noise around you and for staying in your ear if you are running.
A major point to know is that it takes over 24 hours to break them in and they get much better with more use. I first thought they were junk, but now they are the best and glad I read the instructions....more info - Great headphones
After struggling to keep the original iPod earbuds in and get any sound out of them, especially outdoors, I finally "splurged" on these and am very satisfied. The sound is great and the outside noise is definitely blocked out. I would recommend this product to others....more info
