Product Description
Panasonic's KX-TG9343T DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone boasts a talking alarm clock that will tell you when it's time for lunch, and a talking battery alert that will politely tell you when your battery is low, with a reminder. Using text-to-speech technology, the Caller ID information is announced between rings. DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) technology lets you move freely around your home with long range and amazingly clear sound. It also assures greater protection against eavesdropping for all your calls. Operating in the 1.9GHz frequency range, your phone will not conflict with other wireless devices such as computer routers, wireless keyboards, microwave ovens and other common household devices. Store the Caller ID info of any and all unwanted callers into your phone's Call Block list so that you can eliminate future pesky calls. Unwanted callers will receive a busy signal when they call you again. The Light-Up Indicator with Ringer Alert at the base of the antenna will flash quickly to show that you have an incoming call, and it will flash slowly to let you know you have a new message.
With three handsets (one base and two chargers) and the option of adding up to three additional handsets (requires additional purchases) ? all while using only one base and one phone jack ? go ahead and put one in the den, the kitchen, the master bedroom and the living room; so you won't have to make a run for it when the phone rings. Customer Reviews: - Great phone but it echos after you make a call
As soon as you call someone when the phone has not been used for awhile (3-5 hours or more), your voice goes out the mic on the handset and right back into your ear as a delayed echo effect. This can last up to 2 minutes until the chip? warms up enough to eliminate the echo. I have tried 4 of these phones and called tech support in Manilla which was no help. I have tried everything to eliminate this problem in my house to no avail. I returned the phone 4 times to Best Buy where I bought it and went home empty. The phone is well made but with the echo start to calls it's thumbs down completely. Also tried the 5.8GHZ version. Same problem. May be my wireing or something in my house but it is unacceptable from Panasonic unless it can be fixed....more info - Great product made better
We had an older version of the Panasonic portable system which had a problem with interference from our WI-FI router. I saw the 9333 at Costco for a low price, but opted for the 9343 because it has a keypad on the base unit. The 9343 provides voice announce based on the entry stored in the telephones, not using the caller ID, which the old one did. (Very annoying for calls from cell phones.) Performs very well, with better audio quality than the previous version. I highly recommend this product....more info - Very good cordless system
After reading numerous reviews (on Amazon and other web sites) about this and many other DECT cordless phones, I ordered this system. This system is used by me and my wife. A primary consideration is that we use Vonage, which is a voice over internet protocol service provider. As a result, we needed one base unit that could be connected to the Vonage telephone modem and then have additional phones that do not require to be plugged into a phone jack. This system fit the bill. We recently moved into a three level New England home (four if you include the basement); we have used this phone system for three weeks as of this writing, and we have placed and received numerous phone calls; the base unit and one other unit are located on the second level; the third unit is located on the first level; we receive clear reliable reception on every level (including the basement) and outside in the front and back lawns. I have used the hand-free speaker option several times on each phone -- it works as advertised. The "night mode" has already come in very handy. After receiving a phone call late one night, I turned on the night mode feature -- again, it works as advertised (yes, I received another late night call, which was identified on the "missed caller" list because the phone in our bedroom did not ring). The "talking caller ID" also works fine. Sure, the voice sounds like a computer and not a real person, but that's what it is. The system identifies who is calling if that person has been added to your phone book, and that's what I expected. I tested just about every feature and this system is everything I expected -- a very good cordless DECT system. Over the past 15 years we have owned several different cordless phones (Sony, GE, Uniden, VTech and others) -- this Panasonic is definitely one of the best we've owned. We are very satisfied with our purchase and would recommend this system to our friends and family....more info - Panasonic cordless set (KX-TG9343T)
This cordless set is a big step up from one we bought about 5 years ago. The sound quality is top notch and ctystal clear. The range is also better without the interference that we were getting with our wireless access point for our computer system. Battery life is very good....more info - Great Phone!
I love these phones! I'm no tech person but they hava a ton of features and most importantly the sound and reception is great. I'm very pleased and would recommend this phone system....more info - Panasonic cordless phones, always!!
We have always used Panasonic cordless phones as they never disappointed us. This model is no different, just better. Great range, looks beautiful, great clarity, best of all the handsets use ordinary rechargeable AA batteries. When these get old, we will buy Panasonics phones again. The only con is that we have not been able to figure out how to change the ringer tone to melody on the phone base like we can on the handsets. Love the night mode feature when we do not want to be disturbed during sleep hours. Also the feature to block a list of phone #'s is awesome!...more info - Great product
I love Panasonic home phones, I think that they are the best when it comes to making cordless phone, the quality and longevity is beyond any other brand on the market. I love my phones they work good and the voice quality is great. It only took me two weeks to make up my mind where I could have gotten the best deal....more info - Excellent phone system
The Panasonic Dect 6.0 phone system works great with Vonage. It has all of the features one expects of an answering system with cordless handsets. I selected the version of product with three handsets, but any of the other versions would be just as good.
The TG934x systems have a keypad on the base unit, the TG933x systems do not, so you must pick up the handset to key in a phone number. I definitely think that the keypad on the base unit is worth the extra money.
There are so many software features that I still have not used them all, but the Operating Instructions manual seems very good. Voice quality is very good. You can also use the system as an intercom.
...more info - One of best cordless on market
I've been through a lot of cordless phones and they all suffered from some major deficiency. While there are a couple minor deficiencies, this Panasonic seems to be the best on the market. Avoid buying just for the talking caller id - I found it annoying so I do not even use this feature. Other than that here are all the reasons I like it - unable to find another phone with all this:
- Consistently rated as the best phone on the market with positive user reviews
- Excellent voice quality on speaker or handset although if I turn it up too loud (louder than any other phone I've owned). I do get a bit of an echo so turn it down one notch from max.
- DECT 6.0 technology: eliminates all static and interference from anything else and range is much farther than non-Dect (you could take it to the yard with you).
- The extra handsets do not need a phone jack. They just need a wall outlet to plug the charger into so you can place them anywhere (woo-hoo!!! Can avoid running extra phone wire to my living room)
- Uses NiMH batteries instead of NiCad. Can leave the unit in the base without shortening battery life, don't need to run batteries to zero before charging.
- Speaker phone on handsets as well as base unit (so you can put the phone down while on hold).
- From any handset, can pick up msgs from the included answering machine.
- Built in light on every handset flashes when there is new msg.
- Transferable programming: preprogram your numbers into one handset and they automatically get transferred to all other handsets.
- Can initially buy with 1,2,3,4, or 5 handsets and additional single units can also later be added on.
- Lighted key pad when it rings in dark room.
- Storage for more phone numbers (50) than most phones
- There is a jack on each handset to use a headset for hands free operation.
Buy it....more info - First Panasonic in a long time
I am a long time Uniden customer. My last Panasonic had lots of problems. I have had no problems with Uniden until my last Uniden (TRU-9485). I bought it as a like new product in Nov.07. It lasted 3 months past the warranty.
OK on to the Panasonic. I've had it for two weeks. I'll start with the things I like about it. I do not have any echo issues with it. The sound quality is very very good. The speaker phone works awesome. It feels well built and sturdy in your hand.
The things I don't like, the voice caller ID is a joke. It very rarely pronounces words correctly. It needs pronunciation lessons. I really liked the transfer call option on my Uniden. I could name the handsets ie. kitchen, living room etc. so I new where I was sending the call and everyone new where a handset belonged The Panasonic works the same except you can't name the handsets they are numbered from the factory.Much more difficult to keep the assigned handset in that room. The call blocking is only good for blocking specific numbers.Maybe I'm just used to Uniden operating sys. I feel the Uniden is superior. The Panasonic could be a lot better. Overall I'm pretty satisfied. The phone is not perfect but it is very well made and the sound quality is the best I've had....more info
