Product Description

DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) technology lets you move freely around your home with long range and amazingly clear sound. It also assures greater protection against eavesdropping for all your calls. Operating in the 1.9GHz frequency range, your phone will not conflict with other wireless devices such as computer routers, wireless keyboards, microwave ovens and other common household devices. Now you can program each handset to ring - or not - at your discretion. Before going to sleep, simply set the bedside handset to Night Mode so that it won't ring in your bedroom. In the meantime, the handset in the den will still ring when that important call comes in without disturbing the person who's sleeping. Now you don't have to be holding the phone to see who's calling. Using text-to-speech technology, the Caller ID information is announced between rings. Panasonic's KX-TG9300 series DECT phones also boast a talking alarm clock that will tell you when it's time for lunch, and a talking battery alert that politely tells you when your battery is low with a "please charge phone" reminder.Store the Caller ID info of any and all unwanted callers into your phone's Call Block list so that you can eliminate future pesky calls. After the information is stored, those unwanted callers will receive a busy signal when they call you again.Don't miss important calls when the ringer is off. The Light-Up Indicator with Ringer Alert at the base of the antenna will flash quickly to show that you have an incoming call, and it will flash slowly to let you know you have a new message. So turn off the ringer and never miss a call.

Features:
  • DECT 6.0 expandable digital cordless answering system
  • Talking caller ID; talking alarm clock; talking battery alert
  • All-digital answering machine; night mode with light-up indicator
  • 50-station shared phonebook; digital handset speakerphone
  • Expandable up to six handsets for busy offices and homes

Customer Reviews:

  • good, not great
Good system, but there are major cons for me...since it is an answering system:
NO indication of # of stored messages...so if one person listens to the messages, the next person has no idea there are any messages on the system without going into the menu...dumb for a multi person household.

Message indicator on the handsets is barely visible from the front...what good is the blinking light if its on the back of the handset??

I also want pager notification...my 15yr old answering machine does that....more info

I am returning Panasonic KX TG9333T. The battery life of the handsets was much too short. Connection was lost when processing voice mail using the speaker feature on the handsets. Panasonic Dect 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System - 3 Handset System (KX-TG9333T) ...more info
  • AWESOME!
This has got to be the best phone out there. The sound is crystal clear and had no echos or interruptions like I did with my old phone. I did alot of research before choosing this phone and I am glad I did....more info
  • Panasonic quality going down hill
Initially the phone worked great....for the first 2 weeks, that is. Sound quality awesome on both ends of the conversation, great range in our 1,600 foot home, lots of nice features, good quality speaker phone, no dropped calls, good answering machine.

Then the problems, the phone would lose connection with the base, the battery life dropped to less than 24 hours even if we talked for less than 30 minutes during that 24-hr period. Advertised life is supposed to be 11 days stand-by and 5 hours talk. It's probably a battery issue, but heck they are 2 weeks old! And I initially charged them 20+hours before doing anything with them. So back it's going to Amazon for a full refund and free return shipping. The only sad thing is some poor sucker is going to buy a "refurbished" phone and no doubt have the same issue :( If you still choose to buy this model (KX-TG9333T) test it out. Leave one phone off the charger and don't use it, except to let it ring....Insure you get more then a couple days of stand-by out of it.

I had a Panasonic 2.4 GHz that lasted over 10 years before it finally died, where did their quality go?

  • Highly recommend
Love the phones, excellent reception. The batteries that came with the units were bad out of the box, I contacted Amazon and had new batteries with in 2 days(I called too late in the day to ship them out that day, hence the 2 days) with no problem. Fantastic service. Thanks....more info
  • Great Value for Basic features
Purchased 30 days ago, base plus two additional handsets. The features that I wanted are very basic. I look for ease of setup and consistant performance. So far so good. No problems with setup. You do need to allow 7 hours of charge time before using. We have base sitting on a counter, one remote hanging on the wall, and one sitting on another desk. I like the backlit numbers and clear LED display, the headset plug (headset not included), speaker phone, good clarity (I have used 150 feet from the base station), and belt clip. I can work outside and just clip the phone on my belt. I do not have caller ID so cannot comment on that. Also we have another answering machine so do not used that feature. We did try it out and it is a little "tinny" compared to my phonemate stand alone answering machine. ...more info
  • AC power issue
We returned the phone--it loses connection with the base when the phone IS RINGING and you can't answer your call. They suggest power cycling the phone but in the meantime I've missed my call! This phone is already a month old and rife with problems. So back to Amazon it goes......more info

I think Panasonic phones are the best and thats all I buy. This is a great phone but the only small problem I have is the "have message" light constantly blinks weather you have a stored message or not....more info
  • Good phone but doesn't work well with headset plugged into handset
I picked up the 3 handset version of this phone a few months back. As a phone it works pretty well - good sound quality, doesn't drop calls, my wife loves the voice announce feature...

Unfortunately the handset has 1 fatal flaw for my application - spending hours a day on conference calls which requires hands free operation. When I plug in my over the head headsets, folks complain they can't hear me. I have two headsets - a Plantronics M114 ( worked great with my old GE cordless phone ) an another of unknown brand. Both are too soft, the Plantronics is worse despite its three position microphone sensitivity switch. It appears the gain on the handset microphone jack is insufficient or the noise cancellation circuitry is to aggressive.

To convince me this is the handset I just picked up a new Phillips CD1554B. I called my office voice mail system with the old and new phones - it is noticeable louder with the Phillips handset using either headset.

I was hoping the Phillips handset would connect to the Panasonic base station but it doesn't appear to work.

    Imaging away / flick

  • Great Phone!
We have had these phones for about one month. The sound quality is very good. I can use the phones outside and still have good reception. We just added calling ID and I like being able to block unwanted calls. I haven't really found anything yet that I do not like about the phones. Our last set of phones were also Panasonic they also worked great. I only replaced them because we needed a built-in answering machine. I would recommend these phones....more info
  • Good ones
I don't actually own this phone buy Panasonic certainly has my vote of confidence when it comes to cordless phones. The best in the industry and, in this case, worth every penny.

I just wanted to inform people that the handsets with this and other Panasonic phone sets take standard AAA rechargeable batteries. Why does this matter? Because standard sized batteries can be found for much less than proprietary batteries such as those found in most other cordless phones. Another among many examples of how Panasonic's phones are just more thoughtfully designed....more info

  • Drops calls
When I first received the phone it was great. After a couple of weeks it started dropping calls. In the middle of a call it would die even if I was next to the base. The last few days it would ring and I would pick it up off the charger to answer and it would lose the connection to the base! I can't even answer the phone off the base! I am in the process of returning the phone. ...more info
  • Probably the most bug infested phone I have ever purchached
We purchased this system to replace an aging phone system similar to the one purchased.

Looks great! However, for us, that's where it stops. On numerous occasions when I have attempted to answer an incoming call, the fully charged phone indicates that it cannot find the base and terminates the call. Then the phone requires a full charge. This happens on any of the three phones that came with the system.

I am also experiencing the same problem when I attempt to make an outgoing call.

If we had kept the packaging and receipt, this phone would be on its way back to Panasonic.

However, products we receive from AMAZON have never given us a problem, so I decided not to keep the receipt.

We contacted Panasonic about their faulty merchandise. Their response was to return our phones and we would get a "reconditioned" replacement. We would have to go with NO PHONE for more than a week. We will NEVER buy any merchandise made by Panasonic.

  • sound quality isn't great
I purchased this phone on the recommendation of the electronics person at Costco. I debated between this and the VTech (which was on sale). He assured me that Panasonic is known for it's sound quality. While this phone has some neat features, I am a person who just wants to make and receive a call, I don't need a lot of fancy extras. The first time I picked up this phone to make a call I could hear a very distracting "shhhhhh" sound in the background. I am packing this up and returning it today for the VTech one I was originally planning to get and which got only positive reviews....more info

This phone is great. Only wish it read how many messages on the machine. My last phone was a Panasonic also, had great luck with that one. My friends freaked out when they heard my phone talking while it was ringing....more info
  • Works fine so far
I've been using these phones for about a month now and everything is going well. Here are some of the things that I like:

One charger is 150 feet from the base and works as though it were in the house. I keep it at the window of a metal building, and it starts to fade if I get on the far side of the building, but it still works.

I've had no interference or other problems.

You can call from one phone to another (such as from the house to the aforementioned metal building)

You can check messages from a receiver without having to go to the base

The audio announcement of the caller ID is fun to play with and we always laugh when it comes up with something goofy.

It uses standard sized batteries, meaning that we are sure to be able to find cheap replacements when necessary.

The save to phonebook feature allows you to change the number if the caller ID and the dialing requirements are different (with regard to 10-digit dialing or adding a 1)

As for cons, I can't really think of any. I'm quite pleased and would recommend them for sure....more info
  • I shouldn't have to power cycle a phone
I bought this phone based on the excellent reviews and for the first few weeks I was really satisfied. However, I eventually noticed that sometimes when I went to place a call I would get the folling error message: No link to base. Reconnect AC adaptor. The instruction manual lists the following cause/solution: The handset has lost communication with the base unit. Move closer to the base unit and try again; unplug the base unit's AC adaptor to reset the unit. Reconnect the adaptor and try again; The handset's registration may have been canceled. Re-register the handset.

Powercycling always works, but the issue here is why am I losing connection when I'm never more than 30 feet from the base unit for a phone that's supposed to have a long range. Sometimes the connection is lost when I'm only 5 feet away! I have the typical em noise, a microwave and a laptop on G-network. It takes about 5-10 seconds for the powercycling to work. The fact that there are no numbers to dial on the base unit make this a safety issue in the event of an emergency. If this is the only phone in your house and someone doesn't know about this issue, then they might struggle to make a call. I was considering returning this, but aparently I waited too long (more than 30 days) as there is a 15-50% restocking fee. You might not realize this problem in the first 30 days.

The product box states "DECT 6.0 will not conflict with other electronics in your home, such as microwave ovens, baby monitors and Wi-Fi netorks." which may be correct as I don't know the real cause of the lost connection, but this manufacturer does not claim on the box to maintain a connection during routine use. My first expectation of using a phone is that when I press the talk button I get a dialtone. This phone does not meet this basic expectation.

  • No warning on battery life
These phones work great when they are all fully charged, but the problem is that you have no idea if it is fully charged because the battery indicator will show fully charged when the batteries only have enough juice to make it beep once then go dead often dropping your incoming call. There are many other reviews that complain about battery life and going dead as soon as they attempt to answer them. I am an electronics technician with 30 years experience and I *THINK* the whole problem is that the battery life indicator is made to work with different batteries, probably Ni-Cads. The batteries that come with the phone are Ni-MH and these batteries are known to work to almost 100% capacity then suddenly drop off dead. This makes the battery indicator in these phones useless. I can't find my receipt so I'm stuck with these suckers. The only way to stay happy with these phones is to always return them to the charging cradle when not in use and be happy with the fact that you didn't have to run a phone line to all the extra handsets. I may do a test using Ni-Cad batteries but do not suggest it because it will void your warranty (only if you let them know). I'll try to report back after trying Ni-Cad's. Who knows, the charging circuit may not work well with Ni-Cad's....more info

  • Avoid This Model! Serious Problem!
I originally purchased this system in January of this year. Within the first week I discovered the call dropping of incoming calls problem. It is an intermittent problem but still very serious. On an incoming call I would answer, hear the other party and then the call would drop, the screen would go blank. If I tried to pick up the call again by pressing the talk button an error message would be displayed. "No Link To Base Check AC Connection"

I called their tech support dept and was told to remove the batteries and recharge the phones. This "trouble shooting" procedure did not solve the problem.

On the positive side the voice quality on both ends is excellent and the speakerphone is equally high quality. Obviously, there is a glitch in the design of this phone.

When the trouble shooting steps failed to resolve the problem, I notified Panasonic and they sent me out a refurbished replacement. Same problem. I notified them again. They sent out a brand new replacement, same problem.

I called them this morning and they offered to upgrade me to the KX TG 6433. I believe this may be a "fixed" version of the same model. I will gladly give this a try. I might also suggest for anyone needing to exchange these through Panasonic rather than Amazon that you give Panasonic a credit card and and ask them to send the replacement BEFORE you send in your defective unit. Just be sure you send in your old unit within the allowed time to avoid your credit card being charged.

Like Jayk's, another reviewer here on Amazon, I've been a loyal Panasonic telephone customer for quite some time, in my case since the late 70's. They have always had a superior product and stood behind their products. I'm definitely willing to give them a chance to resolve the problems. When they get it right their products are #1. I have a background in the interconnect business so I'm very well aware of what's available on the market.

  • Great Product!
To make it short and sweet this phone does it all. It has great range which was one of my requirements, they don't interfere with my wireless router and nothing seems to interfere with them like the microwave etc. I wear hearing aids and I do well with these phones as anyone that wears them can tell you that's a big plus. You're able to check the answering machine from each phone, intercom feature, party calling, speakerphone from each phone, phone speaks to you of whose calling, caller ID, mute, hold, remote checking of messages and the list of features just go on. The voices are crystal clear and I think I said it all. You won't be disappointed, trust me! ...more info
  • Wow.........great phone
I have this phone now about 1 week. It has more features than any other I've researched.
Like: clear sound, no background noise; up to 7 rings before answering machine picks up, unless one selects 'Toll Saver'; love the audio caller ID feature it announces the caller, as well as being able to block a call (before caller calls back the second time) when I don't want to have my phone ring with soliciting/advertising calls.

    Don't know yet: how the battery will hold up;
    how far the range is;

Cons: wished it had memory for more than 50 phone book entries. No audible message alert; buttons could be larger...more info
  • Talking caller ID?
I had to turn the talking ID off. There is such an accent I couldn't understand what this woman was saying. I also have had problems with the range at times, only being a few feet away.
The phone records every number as long distance unless you reprogram it from the very beginning. It makes it impossible to redial a number, because every number is long distance, unless you reprogram them all. I had a Panasonic before this one and didn't have these problems. ...more info
  • Wouldn't Buy This One Again
I have had this phone for 6 months and the problems I have with it are annoying enough to outweigh the positives. My handset constantly cuts out. Also, noise within the same room (like someone else talking in a normal voice) causes the voice of the person on the other end of the line to cut out. It's very similar to the situation with video conferencing where more than one person at a time cannot talk because only one person will be heard, except in this case, the person on the other end is being cut off by ambient noise on my end. ...more info

We like everything about this phone system except the annoying static it makes while others are talking. It does not occur when we are talking, only when others are answering.

We've also noticed that the phones do not hold a charge for very long.

We like the audible caller ID!...more info
