  Great sound for the price. I'm using these speakers with HP desktop for common uses like gaming, music, videos and movies. A little controller saves the space on the table, allowing me to place speakers high above and not needing to reach for them when I want to turn the unit off. Little controller besides on/off switch and volume control, also have additional jacks for headphones and microphone,so you don't have to reach behind the tower if you want to add a mic. • Logitech S220 Speakers
  Can't go wrong with the quality for the price on this item. If you are looking for a good 2.1 system for you PC at a reasonable price I would suggest this one. It installed in minutes and Windows XP has the drivers. The quality is better then my older Aztec 2.1 that came with my PC. I had to replace it due to the subwoofer quit working....more info
• Nice Little Set of Speakers
  I was looking at a simple docking station with speakers for my Zune and didn't want to spend a lot of money for junk (been there, done that). I ended up buying these speakers and a Zune "Home A/V Pack". The Zune charges using the small docking station and the speakers are hooked directly into the station also. As the docking station has a remote, I can easily adjust the Zune volume, move to the next song, etc. without having to get up. When I get home, I just pop my Zune into the docking station and can listen to music all evening, then in the morning I grab the Zune and go. I spent less than $60 for a nice system for my Zune with a remote.

  It's alright for the price you pay for it. It is a step up from the speakers you get with your computer or laptop. But the quality is not amazing, you will definitely hear the bass rattle a bit if your listening to a movie or playing music with a lot of bass in it. ...more info

• Perfect for me
  Sure theses speakers aren't the most powerful thing out there, but the sound quality is great and it doesn't really matter that you can't make your furniture vibrate with them. They're perfect for my dorm room where I would have a mob at my door if I played them too loud anyway....more info

  These are great speakers for the price. They lack the punch of some of the higher-wattage systems, but they have surprisingly good sound fidelity. The weakest area of the speakers is in the bass--the sub lacks punch, even on its highest setting. I remote volume knob is a nice feature....more info

• Great little speakers
  I live in a one bedroom apartment and think that a good stereo is too expensive, so I went for these speakers to be used with my laptop. They are just as powerful as the mini stereos in my opinion. I don't even dare to turn its volume more than 50%, as it might be too loud for my neighbors. Also, its sound is pretty good. There was a song I used to listen to through headphone, but the thickness and fullness of the singer's voice through these speakers surprised me. They are good for classical music too :-)...more info
• exceptionally nice speakers and woofer
  I am an average music enthusiast, not an audiophile. Have owned mid cost music systems so far. Recently, I shifted home and wasnt able to carry my mid sized sony music system. so rather than buying a full fledged music system in my new home, thought of ripping cds and using my comp + mp 3 players. All I needed was good speakers. Searching on net and especially amazon, hit across these pairs, price looked right, reviews looked good and ordered without much thought.
  
  I was blown when i heard them. They excel my sony system. I am really impressed by their quality. there is hardly any distortion (for my ears) and vol goes high enough without breaking / distorting till neighbors can complaint. all types of sounds, the vocals, the instruments sounded good.
  
  Not just the sound is good. The styling is nice, size is small. I was amazed at the convinience of the volume control button and its smooth and precise operation. i dont use mic feature much, but the fact that mic port and earphone is brought out onto control pod is very nice thoughtful idea.

  These speakers have good sound, with a bass control on the subwoofer. I read some complaints about them sounding "tinny" which I don't think they do at all. They're awesome quality for the price, and I'm not sure what anyone could be listening to to make it sound bad. ...more info
• Sucks on playing high pitch songs
  There is very noticable glitch when playing high pitch songs. It works even worse than the builtin speaker of my laptop. Either I am in bad luck getting a sucker or the so called Recording Engineer is a liar....more info

  I was pretty disappointed by the sound. The highs are tinny, and mids are not great. I fiddled with the equalizer controls on my sound card, but to no avail. I'm sending them back......more info

  I bought this set to replace a pair of speakers that were complete junk. The sound quality in these speaker is just amazing. After reading some of the review I was a bit skeptical, but, once I hooked them up, I was blown away! No, these are not the top of the line and the most expensive speakers that you can buy, but, they sound great for normal computer use. And for $24.99, you are defiantly going to get your money's worth and then some out of this set. If your one of those people that wants to turn your computer into a home theater, then these are not for you. • Great sound in a miniscule package, great for personal computer use
  This is not at all meant to replace a home theater system. It is however a great replacement for any built-in speakers i.e. in a monitor or a laptop. Excellent dynamic range and strong bass; they really did a great job on this one. Yes there is distortion when you turn the volume up, but did you really expect such a tiny package with tiny caps to handle that loud music? For what it's worth, it's a 5....more info

• Worst PC speakers I've ever bought.
  These speakers only manage a one star rating from me since I cannot rate them any lower. I'm usually astounded by the sound quality of Logitech's PC speaker line. Having owned the X-220 and X-530, I never have been disappointed. That is, until I purchased these for a friend's Christmas present. The speakers emanate a low hum when powered on/plugged in, and the cheap volume knob could short out sound to the left or right speakers whenever you adjusted the volume...right out of the box! I tested these speakers on my laptop to ensure that there was no ground loop noise attributable to my friend's PC. I found it definitely was the speakers at fault. Within two weeks, the right speaker is permanently shorted out. I am angered and ashamed of what I got.
  
  I know that everything is made in China, and it's been this way for quite some time. But over the past two years or so, I've noticed that you really have to be careful with what you buy. You can no longer trust long-honored brands. Spend a little more and get something quality, spend at least $50 or more on anything from Logitech, you will be happy. But this product's build quality and performance is becoming of something that should be free after mail-in-rebate. As for all these user reviews: I'd like to know if these cheap speakers are probably the first ones they ever bought for their PC's...that would explain alot.
  
  Since this was a gift, which I am honestly embarasssed to ever have given, the packaging and materials were thrown away. I have no way to return the item to Amazon, so I am left with contacting the manufacturer. These will likely go in the trash by the end of the month, as I'm sure the shipping costs associated with returning the item will be prohibitive....more info
