Customer Reviews: - Fast-answering, clear-sounding alternative to headset
This speakerphone is worlds better than an older Moto model I have. It answers much faster, sounds better to who ever is calling me. And my price here was better than anywhere else....more info - Motorola T305
Bright, constantly flashing blue light was obnoxious. Can't see having this in the car, especially at night. What were they thinking?...more info - It does the job.
It's not perfect (for instance, it makes annoying noises whenever I enter a zone where there's no signal) but it works....more info - My Review
This is the best bluetooth I have ever used inside my truck!!!
Because its a speakerphone makes all the difference. I tried going to ATT to get a bluetooth, i even spent all the money getting the best they had, the Jawbone and then the Motorola H12 Pure. Both of them worked great, except for in my truck, which is really the only place I NEED bluetooth. I had to find something that worked in my truck, because in California it is now the law, so this worked out great.
The only bad thing I can think of is IF there are other people in my truck, then they would be able to hear both sides of the conversation. Now that is never the case in my line of work, but it might be something to consider....more info - Great Product!
I bought this for my wife, who is left footed when it come to anything tech. She loves it! The T305 was easy to set up, any could'nt be easier to use. We've not had any issues to complain about. And as I've read, the blue light is'nt bad at all. We have the Motorola Avdenture and Gz-one Boulder from Verizon, and works well with both!...more info - Motorola Bluetooth Speaker
Great piece of equipment. Great service from the seller. I bought it for my father and his cell phone. It is simple to operate and he can now hear us clearly. Thanks....more info - It does work, but try something else
I had high hopes for this thing, even though I was not particularly interested in buying a hands-free but for the state of CA mandate. Nice lobbying by the way, bluetooth manufacturers. That aside, here's my review:
The good: pairs easily, easy to set up, looks pretty cool and is fairly unobtrusive. The rest:
Sound quality is OK at slow speeds but gets very difficult to understand when there is any wind noise from highway driving. Also, the volume peak is not high enough, and my car is not that loud (an accord). This is problematic as I am on the highway daily. Not sure if this is due to my iphone, however. But I'm reluctant to make phone calls on the highway because I know there will be a lot of "huh?" and repeating.
The battery life is good as recharged, but charging would be a problem if i were not on the highway so much. It only comes with a car charger and does not charge with the car off. So you have to plug it in to charge it while driving. Which means you better be in the car a lot to get it fully charged. Also, this is a problem because to talk with it while charging, you end up with a power cord stretched accross your face from the power source to the visor. Not cool.
It doesn't engage quickly enough when answering, so there is a delay, and callers never hear you say hello. They always think there is a bad connection even if you wait to say hello, since all they hear is it pick up an no one answer for a while. This is really irritating.
Range is way too far. If I forget to turn the thing off (and you can't see that it's on in the daytime from that annoying blue light which is washed out by the sun) it picks up in my car when I try to answer when I'm in my house. I've missed a million calls like that. I guess I could remember to turn it off every time, so that's partially my fault, but trust me... you will forget too. Especially in the day when you can't see it's on.
The volume buttons make a loud beep every time you try to turn it up (which you will constantly try to do), and the speaker cuts out with every beep. So if you want to turn it up mid-conversation, well, just don't expect to hear anthing your caller says.
The blinking blue light right in front of one's face at night is really distracting and annoying. So much for the concentration and safety allegedly created by these hands free sets.
So... overall, it's got mediocre to poor sound, annoying blinking lights, charging issues, volume issues, range issues and answering issues. Given all of this, it's just too much of a hassle. Way more of a pain than it's worth. So I don't even use the thing anymore. I just break the law and talk on the phone like I did before. It's a heck of a lot easier, and rather than fool around with it, probably a lot safer too. Come to think of it, after writing this review, which was not initially going to be a rant, I really dislike this piece of junk and am kinda sore that I spent money on it. Save your cash. ...more info - Leaves something to be desired
I purchased 3 of these, one for each of my family's cars when the hands free law came into effect in California. Even with the volume and sensitivity turned all the way up on this thing, the person you are speaking with has a very difficult time hearing you. I believe this is due to all the background noise from the car that it also picks up. I got so fed up with this product the other day that I went out and bought an earpiece bluetooth instead. It also constantly needs to be charged.
I would recomment that if you are to spend money on a bluetooth device, to instead by an earpiece bluetooth headset....more info - t305 is the best
this is the best item i have ever purchased for my cell. it's perfect! you can hear clearly and so can the person you are talking to....more info - Compatibility problems with my LG phone
I received this device as a gift. It works OK & has reasonably good sound when it's on & communicating with my LG VX5400 phone, but making the connection is a problem. I find that every time I use it, I have to remove it from my phone's list of Bluetooth devices & go through the whole process of mating it with the phone all over again. I also have a Motorola Bluetooth earpiece, and I don't have this problem with it.

Motorola T305 Bluetooth Portable Hands-Free Speaker (Black)
I bought this because I was sick of having to wear a Bluetooth piece in my ear when driving. Almost the only time I used my Bluetooth headset was in a car, so I figured, why do I need to have the earpiece when all I really need is a speaker? I found this product and it was just what I was looking for. The speaker is loud and clear and no one has had a single problem hearing me on the other end. In fact, when I made my first calls, no one knew I was on a speakerphone. They said I sounded just like I was talking into my cell phone. Better yet, I had the radio on and air conditioning blasting in the background. It is great at eliminating background noise. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a Bluetooth speakerphone for the car. It is fantastic!!!...more info - Good product that could have been even better
The call and sound quality of this product is reasonably good. Not much echo or static noise. Once it is turned on, my cell phone connects to it in just a second or two.
Contraray to what others have said, I like the "giant" LED a lot. Finally some one has designed a LED that has HIGH CONTRAST colors(BLUD and RED) instead of the the "usual" yellow, green, and amber that I can't never make out the differences.
The build-in battery can store a good amount of power for my hour long commute for a week or so.
2 things I think it can be improved.
First, the not-so-easy to feel power button needs to held for about 2~3 seconds in order to activate the system. This is obviously a design concept incorrectly and blindly copied from cell phones. This device does NOT need the power-on delay proection like a cell phone does.
Second, it should be operated on-demand instead so that that we answer the phone AND turn the device on in the SAME push of a button. When we are done talking, we hang up and turn it off in another single push of button. There is really no need to keep the device on all the time(a complete waste of battery power). This is a typical flaw in the product design process where the focus is on the technology(Blue tooth) but not on the user practicality. ...more info - Great product, easy to use
I love this product. The sound quality is good. very easy to use not too many buttons, holds charge a long time. Great deal for low price!...more info - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE
I love the hands free capability. It is a very clear connection; no static or interference...more info - Far better than expected . . . .
I use this product in a 2001 Mustang Bullitt. The exhaust is loud. This product works beautifully and both sides can hear fine. I am very impressed. ...more info - Exactly what I need!
I think the hands-free things you stick in your ear or wear on your head are a complete pain. This device is similar to the integrated and hard install hands-free car kits without the expense and wiring. Just clip it on the visor and DONE! Even on the freeway I can hear well enough and be heard. It's one button to answer calls and you don't have to be a tech-brain to figure it out. The only down-side is remembering to keep it charged, but with the included car-charger you're covered. I also find the blinking bright blue "on" indicator light to be distracting when driving after dark, but have solved the issue to my satisfaction by attaching the device to the top of my visor and flipping the visor down when I need to use the hands-free. All in all, the perfect and cost-effective solution for a person like me who only infrequently talks on the phone while driving. ...more info - Great Value
Excellent value for the price. The only time I use a hands free device is in the care and this unit is well worth the price and is far more convenient than hanging a head set off of one's ear.
Pro's: Sound quality is great and connectivity is equally as good. It maintains it's charge as advertised and if you have a Motorola Cell, it's charger works on this as well. The blue indicator light that others call annoying is as easily ignored as any other indicator light in the vehicle.
Con's: Feedback from some that I have called said it sounded a little like I was talking in a tunnel, but only slightly. The power button is a little difficult to press and is not easily felt. ...more info - It's a pretty expensive paper weight
The audio is great and the voice dialing works. But people can bearly hear me, unless I take it off the visor and hold it close to my mouth. So in short, it's pretty useless unless somebody can tell me how to boost the microphone. I'll have to look at trying blue ant....more info - Hands Free Economical Option
As always, Motorola has done a great job designing this hands free economical option for cell phone use while driving in a car. It is easy to set up and provides an ideal way to communicate SAFELY while driving....more info - Soon
i do not even try yet but i let you guys know i was so busy with my son dying at the hospital with c¨¢ncer ...more info - very very good
I read all the negative reviews and didn't really experience all that they're saying. It works great-clear-precise-works with my phone, wifes phone, and daughters phone. Voice dialing is better then any other we've used. Who ever your talking to can hear you loud and clear regardless where you are in the vehicle, even in the 3rd row; and at high speeds. Nothing really negative to say about it....more info - Incredibly irritating
OK functionality but unless you can drive with a blinking blue light in your face at night do not buy this product. Did anyone at Motorola try this in their own cars at night? ...more info - Hands-Free Speaker
This is the second Motorola T305 I've ordered. Have used the first one going on 2 years without a problem. Ordered another to allow leaving one in vehicle. Fast service and good price for a great item, happy to recommend. ...more info - Motorola T305 Bluetooth
The Motorola T305 was Easy to install and connect to. Great reception clarity and volume control....more info - good in the car, at home, even in the pocket
this little bluetooth speakerphone is a good choice to amplify the conversation at home, even in the party, and carry it in the pocket
the plus is USB charging, that I can use any USB power supply to charge
the only minus is, I can't put it too close, or the sound is cut off
other than that, I am mostly happy with it...more info - Bluetooth saves the day!!!
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my sister. After it arrived, I learned her husband bought her the same thing (grr! it was a few days before xmas and he asked ME to return the one I got when he got his at a store ... and paid too much, haha) So I decided to keep mine and I am really really glad I did. It's plenty loud, it syncs up easily, and it's rather small. It has a blue flashing light, but I like it. It reminds me to turn it on and off when I leave the car on stops. I don't regret making this mistake or keeping it. I recommend this to anyone who needs to keep their hands on the wheel, their eyes on the road, and their ears ready to receive important calls from their loved ones while on the road. So, what did I get for my sister? A huge pair of Swarovski earrings and I think she liked them better! :)...more info - Mixed
i don't know that i can give a fair review. the reception that people are getting on the other end of my calls say that the sound is "broken/clipped" but i don't know whether that has anything to do with this product. it may have to do with my cellphone carrier or my phone (which is almost 2 years old). i will have to check these things out further. the sound i'm getting on my end is great (far better than what i was hearing with an ear-piece)....more info - Motorola Speaker
I previously had a bluetooth earpiece to use while I was driving, but lost it, so I decided to try a speaker phone for driving and bought this product. I drive a Toyota Corolla 1999.
Pros:
-Volume gets pretty loud
-Easy to install and use on a daily basis
Cons:
-It picks up car noise fairly well - I can't use it on the freeway or the person I am talking to has a lot of trouble hearing me. I have also heard complaints of some noise that sounds like a case of tic tacs shaking. I am able to use it on city roads fine though. And my boyfriend, who has a newer car with less car noise (Toyota Tacoma 2004), is able to use it all the time - I never have any issues hearing him.
- Charging: I like to be able to charge an item after its completely drained and then charge it all the way. If you are like this too, then you will not want to charge it in the car, which makes it a bit of a hassle to bring it in the house, charge it, and then remember to bring it back out to the car.
Overall:
I like it, and would use it a lot more if I had a car with less car noise. I am now looking at buying another bluetooth headset piece to supplement when I am not able to use the speaker, which sucks because I have to spend more $$$....more info - Easy to use
This is the 3rd one I've purchased--all excellent plus easy to use. Great for voice dialing. Very simple setup....more info - Great for the car, Not so great for the home.
I bought this so I could use my cell phone at home with more convenience. Well it does have a great feature where the calls are automatically transferred to the Motorola 305. This is great, then you just push the button on the device and start talking. The problems are two fold: 1) the sound from the speaker and the microphone sending your voice are both lower quality than on my LG cellphone or on my Nokia. 2) The second problem, as noted by others, there is no A/C adapter (only a cigarette lighter adapter) in the package and the A/C unit must be purchased separately.
In the car the unit would be good b/c it would simplify answering calls (just push the large answer button) - no more fiddling with the cell phone and it's tiny controls. Just expect sound quality that is slightly lower than what you already have....more info - EXCELLENT 'hands free' choice
Motorola T305 Bluetooth Portable Hands-Free Speaker (Black)
For those who don't like the feel of a 'plug' in their ear, or, own older cars without a 'Bluetooth' option, where state law (CA) makes it a VERY expensive fine for not using 'hands free', THIS is a GREAT choice!
The quality of the sound (both talking & listening) is excellent. The blue flashing light reminds you it is on. It turns itself off after a period of non-use and the battery charge lasts a L-O-N-G time. I have bought 6-7 of these -for my wife, daughters and each car that does not have the new technology.
Even if your state does NOT require 'hands free' yet, THIS IS a 'safety option'. YOU should NOT be talking on a hand-held phone while driving -the law -or not!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED choice! ...more info - OVERALL PRETTY GOOD - A FEW ISSUES.
I was tired of using my earpiece Bluetooth so I opted to buy this after reading all the reviews and the rather inexpensive price range. I think it is a good purchase, its small, compact and does what you need it to do (make a phone call). The issues I have are just like the others listed, charging can only be done with a car plugin, the Power button is small and sometimes is a pain to turn on and often I have heard that I sound like I'm in a cave and they find it hard to hear me. (Of course this always depends on how fast I'm going and outside noise). Overall though it is convenient to just clip it to the visor and talk away without having to think too much. Just make sure you can get your mouth somewhat close to the microphone - I often tilt the visor down to bring the mic closer. I would recommend this product but if you are willing to spend a bit more than maybe go for a more advanced bluetooth....more info
