• Wrong Battery!
  I was very dissapointed to find the battery included in this kit was not the correct one for my camera. I thought I had researched it properly and selected the correct item, only to find the battery did not fit. I kept the kit because I needed the charger, but had to buy an additional battery....more info
• Description needs more detail!!!!!!
  I recently purchased this camera dock along with a Kodak EasyShare Z812 IS camera. The description for the dock does not give much information on the rechargeable battery that comes with it. Well, the battery does not work in my camera....
  
  I checked under the Accessories and the section labeled "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought"......and this camera dock was shown under both areas. So one could assume that this camera dock would work with this camera, right? WRONG!!
  
  Now I have a $15 Kodak battery and have no way of using it. Make sure if you are purchasing this dock that the battery is going to work with your camera......more info
• Battery would not fir my camera!
  I am really confused re this Camera Dock Kit. I bought it after many calls to Kodak and reading all kinds of confusing information re the type of battery to use in the Kodak Z812 IS camera.
  It arrived at a very busy time in my life and it actually sat on a table for 30 days (I did not realize it was this long.) Opened it up to use last week and ????? the battery would not fit into the camera. Tried everything aside from breaking something and NO WAY would that battery go in. Can't recall the item number of the battery but it was a NiMH rechargeable which I was told would work in the Z812.
  Finally after total frustration, I went on line and discovered that day was the 30 day deadline to return the item for credit to my account.
  Thanks to a speedy call back system on Amazon (this gets 5 stars), I got a call from a representative who emailed me the return label, etc and I was able to get the dock kit wrapped up and dropped in the mail that day as required.
  I have had 2 prior Kodak cameras (that I loved)and used a dock +
  rechargeable batteries for each with no problem. Why is the Z812 so hard to figure out now? I still am not sure what dock/batteries to get??...more info

• Battery Didn't Work
  I have the ZD8612 IS...from what I understood this was suppose to be all I needed. Sad to say it was not. I had to purchase a rechargeable battery. I'm sad that I had to make a purchase after buying the dock but happy my camera is now working so I can take pictures of my divas (3yrs and 8mos old)....more info
• Kodak EasyShare Camera Dock Kit
  I purchased this for use with my Kodak EasyShare Z1085IS 10MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom. I liked the idea of charging my cameras battery at the same time I was transferring pictures and video to my computer.
  
  It was very easy to set up and using it has been a snap. I just dock my camera and press a button - thats it! Pictures are automatically being transferred and the battery is charging. The only bad thing I can say about this kit is that unfortunately the extra items that it comes with were of little value to me.
  
  *The battery doesn't fit my camera.
  *The case doesn't fit my camera.
  *The cleaner is okay, but I'm more comfortable using plain water.
  *The cloth I do use. Nice to avoid scratching the lens and screen.

• Good hardware, poor software
  The only thing that I wanted in this package for my Z1085IS was the dock (and the cleaning kit I suppose). The camera bag was way bigger than necessary, and the battery was the wrong type - my camera requires the Li-Ion rechargeable batteries. I knew that when I ordered it, but the kit seems to be the best way to get the dock. The price still isn't bad, and the dock works great. The camera comes with the specific dock adapter, so I attached that and the camera snapped in perfectly. The charging seems to work great with my Li-Ion rechargeable. When I push the "share" button my USB transfer software recognizes the camera and begins the transfer. I use the standard Microsoft utility that came with Vista (and XP I think) because the EasyShare software is incredibly slow and buggy. So that's all good. The dock is 5 stars. I took off 1 star for all the extra stuff that increases the price of the kit and is useless for many of the newer cameras. Overall, it's great to have a place to put the camera that keeps it optimally charged and transfers pictures as well....more info

  The Easy Share Dock Kit I ordered came in a sealed Kodak box which indicated the product was for my Z712 IS camera. The box contained the wrong rechargable battery which did not fit. The docking station will not charge the correct battery I had to purchase locally so I had to buy an additional charger. There was no paperwork in the package and I was unable to contact the shipper. In total, I spent Nearly $80 for a $40 item... Never again !!!...more info
• Watch out for the fine print.... that's only found on Kodak's website
  the Kodak EasyShare dock is good in theory, but comes up short in the real world. The dock claims to be designed for the Kodak Z series camera. It wasn't until I spent the money had the dock at home that I realized that the dock "fits" my camera, but the rechargeable battery it comes with is not for my model Camera. Not only does the battery that came with it not compatible, but the battery I need is an additional $24.00 on top of the $44.00 I already laid out for the dock. If I new the dock didn't come with the right battery up front, I would have looked at other options.
  
  I also doesn't help that the battery I need is on backorder everywhere and I have to use AA batteries in the meantime. Another extra waste of money.
  
  The Dock DOES fit my camera, and the adapter plate from the Camera does go on the dock. Let's hope the dock actually charges the battery when I finally get it.
  
  --- Unrelated to the dock itself, if my camera required a special rechargeable battery, it should have come with it. Buying all the accessories later only works if they are all truly universal.

• Easiest way to transfer pics!
  When choosing a camera I specifically chose the Kodak EasyShare because of the availability of this dock. It makes transfering pictures to my PC so easy...no fumbling with cords and/or plugs. Just set the camera on the dock, push one button and the pictures transfer. Can't get any more user-friendly than that! Great product!...more info

  Does the job but I wouldn't brag on it as it's very flimsy made out of very cheap materials. I'm sure the cost to Kodak is $5.00 a piece or less so they are making plenty of profit! If they would bulk it up in materials it then might be worth the retail price they are currently getting. It does work however with no problems!...more info
• A real necessity for the easy share camera
  A really nice addition to this battery hog of a camera(Z1275). Just put in the rechargeable batteries that came with the dock kit,plug the dock into an ac outlet,set your camera on the dock and the charging begins.A lens cleaning kit and camera bag also came with this. A second set of batteries is recommended so you have a spare. The dock also makes it very easy to transfer pics from your camera to your computer. Once you have the software from your camera installed onto your computer, all you have to do is connect the usb cord and touch one button on the dock to start the process. When finished using your camera, put it back on the dock and automatically recharge your batteries for the next use. Sweet!...more info

  The docking station is great, but the camera case is way to small. When I purchased the kit I thought it was made for my wifes Kodak Z812IS, but the camera needs to be half the size. Then on top of that the battery that comes with this kit will not work with this camera. I will think twice about buying items like this online in the future....more info

  Docking station worked fine. The instructions are a little hazy, as with their printers. The online manual is a BIG help in answering your questions. The battery contained in the kit, although it listed the model number 812Is did not fit the camera. The case is extremely tight and there is absolutely no room for anything else, including he lens cleaning kit that is included. There is another case available with a zippered storage on the bottom which is a much better fit. ($16??)...more info

  You guys really need to stop promoting this Dock kit with the z712 camera. The battery doen't fit. But, there you have it sitting right next to the Z712 as a pair. False advertising!! You getting a kickback from the supplier? I had to read thru the reviews to find a battery that may work with this thing, and if it doesn't I am out the $40 I paid for it. This is the first time I have had trouble with Amazon but, after reading the other review, it's pretty apparent that you knew about this and haven't done anything. ...more info

  I too was duped into believing this dock would be compatible with my Kodak Z712 IS camera. Who wouldn't? After all, AMAZON shows the dock PAIRED with the Z712 IS!!

  I first purchased my camera in december only to realize that I needed so many accessories to make it work. Since purchasing the charger I have started using my camera for all occasions and Love it. The price is right through amazon and I actually saved purchasing online with them instead of going thru the company itself. I would highly recommend this product. Only discouraging item is the camera holder/pouch because the lack of a strap....more info

  After reading the reviews on this kit I was worried....BUT I went on the kodak website and found the camera I bought for mother in law (easyshare Z1275) and it showed that this kit WAS in fact compatible with the camera. If there is a question, before buying this I suggest checking like I did...if it is NOT compatable with your camera, it will say which one is then come back to amazon and see if they sell the same kit. MIL has had no issues....a great product. We own an older easyshare camera and it is our opinion that kodak has great cameras and products to go with them....more info

  The USB cable did not fit into the pc port. The center plug that goes into the camera does not fit the camera. I bought a USB that goes from the camera to the computer. It came with a CD that was much less than camera dock kit. What an expensive disappointment. Am item manufactured by Kodak does not work with its own brand that it is supposed to support. Do not purchase....more info
