Product Description

Presenting the world's first computer/speedometer designed to fit on any baby stroller--the Strollometer. This 8-function, wireless marvel helps you get the most out of what you're already doing: strolling. With an easy strap-on, strap-off design, The Strollometer is the must-have accessory for any new mom looking to get back into shape after pregnancy.

Want to get back into shape after having a baby, but can't find the time? One solution--do more of what you're already doing. Stroll.

Adi Weber, co-inventor of the Strollometer, with her kids.
Made by Parents, for Parents
Co-invented by Adi and Don Weber, the Strollometer is the product of parents who wanted to get more out of their strolls.

Our inspiration for the Strollometer came about one month after I gave birth to our third child, Deena. I would often take my daughter on strolls in an attempt to squeeze in a good workout while she napped. Unfortunately, I never knew how far I went, how fast I strolled, or whether my "workout" would ever measure up to the workouts I was familiar with at my gym. Nothing designed for bikers or walkers gave me the information, accuracy or ease I wanted.

The idea for the Strollometer was born. And by designing it from the ground up, we made sure it could easily strap-on to any stroller--whether it's traditional, all-terrain or jogging.

Happy strolling! -- Adi

How it Works
The Strollometer features easy-to-read display screens that help you keep tabs on your stroll:

Current Speed: Like a treadmill, you always know how fast or how slow you're strolling. Feeling good? Why not pick up the pace?

Maximum Speed: You powerstroll through the neighborhood. A nice flat stretch is up ahead...you pick up the pace...But make sure you jog or run only with a jogging stroller.

Average Speed: You stroll for 50 minutes at an average speed of 4 mph. You feel great. Tomorrow try strolling a touch faster.

Trip Distance: No more retracing your route with your car to see how far you've gone. You stroll for two and a half miles. Why not make it an even three?

Trip Time: Time flies when you're on a stroll. Why not add an extra 15 minutes and feel even better?

Daily Mileage: You run errands. You spend the afternoon at the mall. You run more errands. Was it a day without exercise? Hardly. Today's tally: 2.6 miles and counting.

Ambient Temperature: You walk into a restaurant and suddenly it hits you: this place is cold. You glance at your Strollometer. Yup, time to pull out the blankie.

Clock Time: Baby yoga at 10. Lunch date at noon. Pediatrician at 3. You've got the current time--whether your Strollometer is on or off.

Easy to Install
The Strollometer is wireless and straps-on, straps-off any stroller. Just follow these simple steps and you'll be up and strolling in seconds:

Strap console band onto stroller handlebar.

Slide console onto band.

Place adhesive-backed magnetic strip onto outermost edge of the rear wheel.

Strap on stroller leg and position sensor over magnet.

Customer Reviews:

  • Amazing product & even better customer service
The strollometer is so awesome, I love all the features it has and all the detailed information it offers. It's easy to use and I love the customized instructions for attaching to specific strollers like for my double BOB stroller. When I had an issue with a part, the service I received from the manufacturer was above and beyond my expectations. As a busy, part-time working mother of two, to be able to have such wonderful, helpful, efficient and friendly service means so much. In today's world, it makes a huge difference to me and I appreciate it greatly. I only wish more companies treated their customers with the care that I received from them! I will definitely recommend it to everyone! I am a happy and completely satisfied customer....more info
  • Great product, excellent customer service!!
Overall, I've been very satisfied with this product. There is some set-up involved but the included directions are very detailed and easy to follow.

I gave it 4 stars, instead of 5 due to some minor issues I've had. The first is that on my Bob stroller, the sensor kept jiggling out of place. However, after contacting the company, the owner not only called me to discuss the issue & help me troubleshoot--she also emailed me detailed photos of a suggested set up [which isn't included in the general instruction leaflet].

The second minor problem I encountered is that the strollometer monitor strap broke after about 3 months of use. Again, I contacted the company to order a replacement strap and I was sent one [free of charge!] immediately. Another testament to the company's high level of customer service.

The strollometer has been an invaluable device to help me track my distance traveled, speed, ambient temperature, etc. After using it, I can't work out without it! I know that the strollometer accurately records the correct distance, as I checked it against a track at a local university.

My experience with the company's owner has been fabulous and she is committed to ensuring that her customers are happy. The level of customer care that I've experienced with her, has been tops and I would whole heartedly recommend this product.

  • Very helpful

The Strollometer has been very helpful for getting me back into shape without leaving my 4 month old with a babysitter. I set it up on my Uppa - - very easy and the instructions were excellent. The data I receive on my strolls motivate me to stroll longer and increase my pace.Customer service is excellent, too. I called because I just bought a Schwinn jogger. The rep was extremely helpful and forwarded pictures on how to attach the sensor onto my jogger. I highly recommend it....more info
  • Favorite baby gift
Of all the beautiful things I got at my baby shower, this was hands-down my favorite and certainly most useful. I use it every day - and while I'm enjoying quality time with my son, I can see how much I'm doing from a fitness standpoint. Completing that extra distance or doing the same stroll just a bit faster is a great feeling. A great item!...more info
  • Opinion pending...
I received my Strollometer for my birthday and am very excited to use it. Unfortunately, I didn't even get the thing installed before two of the three magnets were already off. I have a Graco Quattro Tour Deluxe Travel System stroller and there just doesn't seem to be a good place to place the sensor. Each time I folded up the stroller to make sure it wouldn't move the sensor, it bent it in some way and knocked off the magnet. :( So, although I still have the magnets, I am not sure if I can re-stick them as the glue seems to be weakened already. I have managed to get the third magnet stuck on and have programmed the computer, both things done with relative ease. I have also emailed "Adi" to inquire as to whether she might suggest placing the magnet in a different spot on my particular wheel and whether she might be able to send more magnets since it appears they are inevitably going to fall off and be lost. We'll see what happens next......more info
  • Perfect!
This is a great product, and only wish I had gotten one sooner!

I have an InStep Safari TT double jogging stroller, and installation was a breeze. It works great, I just make sure the sensor is the right distance from the magnet before you get going. After being folded up or stored, sometimes it can get knocked out of place, but you just bend it back and you're off!

I used this at Disney and I brought the part that attaches to the handlebar into the rides so it wouldn't be stolen, and then just popped it back on when we got out. The stroller averaged 4.5 miles a day, and I know we walked more than that!

I LOVE the fact that it shows the temperature!...more info
  • Still not worth a penny...
OK. The first review I wrote about this item a few weeks ago has not been published at all - I can assure it was decent...
I have news anyway :-). After I lost a magnet on the first stroll, after the sensor did not work with my bugaboo cameleon at all and had to be readjusted every 5 seconds while walking and always for minutes after unfolding the stroller... well, now the sensor broke. Just like that, almost lost it on the road :-(. Oh, the battery is still empty - that's how it came, in a brand new strollometer :-(.
The person in charge of our "mommy fitness group" contacted the company representative and it seems like we are going to get a bunch of new batteries, magnets and sensors - well, I am not the only one with this bad luck in my group of 10 mommies...
Some good news, but I am still quite surprised of how so many people/ organizations use/ recommend this article :-(.
I can only repeat it over and over: not worth a penny...

PS: one thing is great, though: Adi from the company is more than great, she is very prompt in answering all the questions, helping you out and sending replacements - I wish I would not need them... ...more info
  • Great in Theory
I was so excited to get the Strollometer as a shower gift. Unfortunately, it never worked for more than a week. Here are the issues:

    - the sensor that attaches near the wheel moved every time we went over a bumpy sidewalk, road or curb, as well as when loading in and out of the car. regularly, it would knock off the magnet on the wheel, so it couldn't read any more.

    - the battery life was really short. the founder said that it's because the unit constantly measures temperature. my bicycle computers have batteries that last for 2 years with constant use, yet this battery died after 1 month of use.

    - there is no odometer, just a trip odometer. in other words, all your data is erased every night at midnight, so you can't track how far or fast you went over the past week, month, etc.

Overall, the reliability issues caused me to return it. 5 stars to Giggle for excellent customer service -- They tried personally to fix it three times and then refunded it when I gave up....more info
  • worth it!
I love having this on my stroller. It helps motive me in my training. Once all the kinks are worked out (took me 2-3 runs) it's great.

  • Strolling for days :)
Overall a great product. My wife loves it. It's great to know all those miles she has been putting on the stroller. The one thing you have to be careful about is when you fold up your stroller to put it in your trunk, or in storage to be careful not to lay it on sensor. Doing this will more than likely make the sensor misaligned, so you'll then have to set it again, which can be frustrating when you travel several times a day and forget. One enhancement that would be nice for the product would be a way for it to store the information which then could be uploaded to a simple stat-tracking program so you could easily keep track of all your stats, rather than doing it manually. Overall a great product, and I would recommend it to anyone....more info
  • I Gave Up On It
I was very excited upon first receiving this item, however soooo disappointed after trying to use it for quite some time. The batteries needed to be replaced quite frequently and the reader on the wheel was constantly getting pushed out of alignment anytime I went up or down aisles, in and out of doorways, or going through checkout counters at the grocery store. I finally gave up and have yet to find anything else....more info
  • A GREAT FIND
After researching GPS units that struck me as very expensive,
I came across the Strollometer. For [...] bucks, I track my strolls and workouts easily. Setting it up took just a few minutes. I found the customized directions on their website very helpful. For me, a great find. ...more info
  • Great training tool
I just completed my first 5k race since having my son last fall.
This product was very helpful in my training. It was always reliable and accurate. I have recommended it several times to my running moms.

  • must have
this is a must have. i love mine. i love knowing how fast, how far and how long i have walked, (not to mention the other features). this is a must have for strollers!!!! no complaints!!!!...more info
  • Wonderful!!!
I purchased the Strollometer about 9 months ago and I couldn't be happier! I have used this on 4 different strollers, yes I said 4! I have used it on a Maclaren umbrella stroller, Joovy Caboose, BabyTrend Double Jogging stroller and now currently a Phil & Ted Sport with Doubles Kit. I still have the magnets on all the strollers and just swap out the other parts depending on what stoller I am using. The customer service has been great! They always promptly answered my questions and even sent me some more magnets when I added more stollers to my collection. This is really great now that I am doing Stroller Strides, even my instructor is impressed with the quality! It is great to know how much you are walking when running daily errands, and reprograming is really easy and just gets easier the more that you get used to it....more info
  • Great, but magnet falls off
This product is great because it has so many features, like time, temp, speed and distance. It was also easy to install and program. The only issue is the instability of the magnet. It can fall off easily when you fold up and transport your stroller, etc. It only attaches using a strip of adhesive on the magnet. I wonder if there is a more secure way to attach....more info
  • Great on MaClaren Strollers!
I currently have a pair of Nike + shoes with the i-pod integration that gives you time/distance/etc. on your ipod. I purchased this stroller odometer because I realized how many times I am out walking with my stroller without my running shoes on. I couldn't be happier with the Strollometer!

Great things about the Strollometer include...

    * The instructions are very well written and the installation process is easy. So is set up. The only tools needed are a coin (for opening the battery compartment) and a tape measure with centimeter measurement (for measuring the circumference of your wheels).
    * The read-out is accurate. It almost matches my Nike + ipod readout exactly.
    * The attachment easily adjust so that you can clearly read it while walking, yet it is not in the way of your hand grips or handles.
    * The monitor is easy to use with only 3 buttons.
    * The monitor easily detaches so it can be removed from the stroller.
    * It traveling, like on a plane, where you need to remove the entire set up, both the handlebar piece and bottom sensor arm can be easily removed and reattached at your destination.
    * The device does not interfere with the folding and unfolding of your stroller.

The only downfall of this item seems to be that magnet on the wheel could fall off after some use or while being handled by the airline, but they give you two additional replacement magnets. Be sure to clean your wheel with the alcohol pad provided and let it dry completely before applying the magnet to the wheel and wait 24 hours before use. The other catch is to apply it to the non-rubber part of the wheel (apply it to the hub-cap part of the wheel instead). The magnet also works best applied vertically instead of horizontally.

I have a MaClaren Triumph stroller. This is just a walking/travel style stroller, not a running stroller. I was easily able to install the magnet and sensor arm so that it is on the inside of the innermost wheel in the back. ...more info
  • Saw it, love it!
I saw this at my Mom stroller-fitness class and had to have it. It's a great product that not only motivates me, but seems to motivate the other moms around me, too! It was easy to install on the inside of my wheel and there's a great "cheat sheet" for my Phil & Teds that I got off the Strollometer website. The features are cool, but what makes me feel really good is looking at the total distance I strolled during the day. I recommend it to anyone with a stroller!...more info
  • LOVE THIS THING!!!!
I can't even tell you how much I love this invention!!! I was having a few problems positioning the sensor/magnet, so I emailed the company from their website [...] (9 Months Up, 9 Months Down). I can't even begin to tell you the awesome customer service I received. Adi (co-founder) emailed me back immediately with pictures of my stroller and where everything should be positioned. Besides getting back to me right away, she is really personal and seems genuinely interested to ensure her product works well. I highly recommend this product!...more info
  • Great idea...needs work
I thought this would be great when my wife told me about it. It turns out however that the surface you walk on needs to be as smooth as glass for this to even be kind of remotely accurate. The best accuracy I could achieve was it clocking 1.4 miles for each mile we walked...and that was after a long time of set up. I even used digital calipers to accurately measure the wheels of the stroller. The sensor that reads the magnet on the wheel is so bouncy that I'm not sure it will get a correct reading with the slightest bumps in the road.

Would love to see the product improved....more info
  • So cool!
I love my strollometer. It really helps gauge distances and runs. You have to be sure to align it properly, but we had little trouble with it. I had it for 2 years, but only recently lost the wheel sensor, which was a bummer. I will be purchasing a new one soon for my new double jogger. ...more info
  • Do not buy!
Within one week the strap snapped, the calibrating head came off - therefore the unit was completely useless.
During the one week the unit worked - the unit needs turning on for every journey (even return leg). So, if you forget to turn on the unit, you don't get a recording.

As a product design the calibration head sticks out significantly over the wheel. This makes the head susceptible to being knocked as you take the stroller in and out of doorways.

Better option I think is to buy a pedometer which can be put in a bag....more info
