Customer Reviews: - Totally Gross is Totally FUN
If you want to laugh all night with your family and friends, you have to get this game. You do things that you never thought you would do or see other people do. What a blast!...more info - Your kids will laugh hysterically
This game is great and well, gross. It's a great game for family game night. Your kids will learn about science in a fun way and they don't stop laughing. Example, How many ounces of air is in a fart? You get the idea....more info - Fun way to learn science.
I bought this for my 13 yr old grandson. It's hard to find fun things that aren't video games, but this was definitely fun to play. Of all his gifts he wanted to play this game first. I even learned some new things about science!...more info - Good Fun, Good Laughs, Educational
I read a lot of the reviews here before purchasing this product. Yeah, there's a lot of potty humor. You do lots of off the wall stuff (I had to smell my husband's armpit - I do that every night when I tuck into bed, though not purposely.) It's a funny, silly game that is probably best played with family members or very close family friends. There's covert educating going on but it's nicely disguised as entertaining, funny, and disgusting. If you're averse to discussing natural body functions in front of other people - this isn't the game for you. If you have a child that is into science and how the body works and is a bit ornery - you'll be re-educated and your child will be rolling on the floor. My son, who is 7, thought it was a hugely funny game. He even seemed interested in the "boring facts" that weren't related to body functions. It's a good chance to laugh with your children - and that in itself is pretty valuable! ...more info - Really Gross!!!!
My son loved it...the grosser the better. I however couldn't get past looking in another players nose for boogers. If that doesn't bother you, this is the game for you if you like grossness!...more info - Not just for boys
Picked this up for my 9 and 12 year old sons for Christmas as we LOVE board games. Turned out my 10 year old daughter enjoyed it just as much. Big hit- would suggest to anyone who likes science....more info - Sounds neat but didn't play with it much.
I bought this game for my 7 and 11yr. old sons. They played with it maybe 3 times in the past year. The bright side is they did learn a few things maybe not good things but they did learn something from it....more info - Totally Educational
While I was reluctant to purchase a game glorifying grossness--I'm glad I did. Not only is the game very high-quality and well made, the facts that children (and adults) are learning along the way are a fantastic science primer. Off the top of my head, I can think of one such fact--that cows and sheep burp methane gas which is harmful to the environment. I highly recommend this game--my children are 11 and 8, the questions are such that there is an advanced, medium and beginner level on each card. That way, you can have various ages playing together with each being challenged but not discouraged....more info - fun for everyone
My 6 year old loved this game. It is educational and is fun for adults "for awhile". The questions are fun. The slime does get dry eventually and is not usable....more info - Great game!
I purchased this game for my 8 year old daughter this Christmas. We played it as a family, with Grandma and Grandpa, too, and we all LOVED it! I would definitely recommend this game to children age 8 and up. The adults had a good time, too. Like some other reviews stated, the goo doesn't work that well, but it is not a necessary part of the game. You can use other markers to indicate where the goo would be. I can't wait to try more games that are similar to this one....more info - VERY Gross but very educational
This game is right up my 6yr old son's alley. There are all kinds of gross facts that he is actually retaining. Your child would not have to be into science to get this. It is like no other game we have played before. And he has asked to play it several times in the last 3 days...that is a miracle that it is not in the game closet with the others!...more info - My nephews LOVED it!
This game is a great gift idea. I purchased it for my two nephews (ages 9 and 6) who have enjoyed playing it several times since then. Maybe its because they are boys and as we all know, boys love to talk about "gross stuff" but my sister-in-law has even commented about how they've applied what they've learned from the game into everyday conversations. They now think that science is cool. Imagine that! I highly recommend this game. ...more info - Totally Gross
Great product, definately has the "gross" factor that kids love. The slime has an awful smell that almost made me gag..maybe thats part of it, but it really is educational and fun!...more info - Entertaining and fun
One of my kids (7 y.o. twin boys) liked this game better than the other, but both find it fairly entertaining. It took them awhile to get used to the idea that you wouldn't be expected to know the answers to some of the questions. A lot of the questions are the kind of thing you would have to guess at, no matter how much science you know.
I was looking for a fun way to talk about science-y subjects and this game definitely fit the bill. It definitely has some "potty humor" so it's not for everyone. However, my kids are greatly entertained by such humor (akin to "Capt Underpants", their favorite books) so it's great for us....more info - AWESOME!
My family loves this game. We have had a blast playing it. We homeschool our sons and this game is fun and educational. We've been able to use it as a starting point for a variety of topics. Something in the game interests them and they want to know more. I love that the game ends with a mini lab experiment. My kids are 8 & 5 so these mini lessons are perfect for their age. The last time we played the lab experiment was to cover the remote control with foil and try to turn off the tv. This led to an entire discussion on light, reflection, lasers, etc. I can't think of a better way to cover science every week. ...more info
