• Everyone should see this movie.
  I lost my older sister Nov. 18, 2002. She was more than a sister, she raised me when my Mom was taking care of my Dad before his death with MS. She was 12 years older than me and carried me to school with her, I was 3, and I sat on her desk. She made me shoes out of ribbons that people threw away at a cemetery near our house. I had went on a week-end trip that came up spur of the moment. While we were there watching tv, Saved By the Light came on and we started watching it. Not knowing that it was preparing me for what would face me the very next day with my sister. The only way I got through as well as I did was because of the strength I drew from this movie. I was holding my sister's hand when she went to be with my Mom, Dad and 2 other sisters, one who was born before me and when this sister was only a year old so we never knew her. I told her to go to my Mom and our sisters , that it was ok to go. I helped her to go in peace I truly feel like. And I wouldn't have known how if I had not watched this wonderful movie. I'll forever be thankful to Dannion and also Eric Roberts for being so real. I miss my sister but I know she's with our parents and 2 other sisters and that she's happy. • This is the true transformation of one man!
  To put it bluntly, before his Near Death Experience, Dannion Brinkley was a miserable excuse for a human being.

  He was struck by lightening and pronounced dead for 28 minutes. He had a near death experience that turned his life upside down and inside out.

  I have heard Dannion speak several times, and I can say that he not only talks the talk, he actually walks the walk.

  A lot of people become very angry because Dannion's Near Death Experiences do not fit into their idea of Theology.

  I am sure that my idea of the Great Mystery (God if you prefer)would also make people very angry.

  There is ONLY one Creator; no matter what name various cultures or faiths use.

  The Great Mystery is the infinite being. We human beings are finite, and it is impossible for us finite beings to comprehend the infinite.

  The Great Mystery reveals itself to us in ways that we can understand based upon our level of awareness.

  If a specific faith works for you that is different from mine. Great! I am happy for you. Just allow me to acknowledge the Great Mystery as I see fit.

• Excellent ; heart-wrenching true story
  I've met Dannion Brinkley personally and can attest to his incredible radiating spirit. This film is top-notch, and the actors captured every character perfectly. Simply wonderful!!...more info
• Can relate to Dannion Brinkley Died 2 times was revived I had a list also
  I am fasicinated by MR. BRINKLEYS STORY I have known of things before my death 15 years ago and what TWO BEARS said is the closest remarks I have heard I know what he is speaking of. My List I showed to my brother-in-law and he thought i was nuts, but now 15 years later the 2 hurricanes that tracked back to back tracked up the exact path inland that was on my list , there are more things yet to come that I have seen, but no one understands I would love to speak with Mr. Brinkley HE WOULD UNDERDTAND, also time does not exist on the other side, and the PEACE is not encountered on this earth, Help someone, do an errand for someone in need Helping others is as important as helping ourselves I have no book or am not trying to acheive anything but I was sent back from the other side, and for a purpouse,I am still searching my heart and mind to know what I am supposed to do. 1 thing I Have to Say is THERE IS LIFE AFTER WE LEAVE OUR BODIES BY THE BREATH TAKEN OUT WE Are. • Excellent portrayal of Dannion Brinkley and his story, by Eric Roberts:
  This is a true story of Dannion Brinkley's life changing events. It takes the viewer through changes from his former angry, mean-spirited self, whose anger was visited upon everyone who came near him, to the day he was hit by lightning, causing death/near-death experiences, and a long road back to life. The life he finds he must live afterward, however is that of a changed man. He is truly touched by a transforming 'power' which he uses to build a new life, sharing his message with others. Eric's portrayal brought all the emotions one might imagine into the film. The depths of both sides of this personality were brought forth skillfully by Eric Roberts. The complications during his rehabilitation show the unexpected consequences of such life-changing events. The story is true, and I have heard Dannion speak numerous times over the years. • Similar experience
  I had a similar experience after having a brain tumor removed. I emembered the movie from years ago and it helped me explain what happened to my wife and family. The experience wasn't exactly the same but was sililar. The experience changed my life more than the btain tumor did. there is a time when we are shown everything we did. Good and bad. The movie shows how the heart can become filled with love after yesrs of bitterness. Just watch it & you'll understand. ...more info
• This movie could change your life.
  This is quite simply an amazing story. It made me have a completely different outlook on how I treat other people , and what is really important in this life. This might sound like an over- reaction to to a movie, but for me this story was like finding out the secret of life....more info
• Tremendous Job. . . Bravo
  This film is stupendous, and none of it is staged. Director/Author Paul Perry followed Dannion with a camera to capture the true "man behind the myth."

  There are many heart rending scenes, including the hospice visit to a dying woman. And there is humor, when Dannion stops at a table in a local restaurant and shocks a group of women having lunch by giving intimate details about their lives.

  Watch this film and read the book. It will be time well spent....more info

• Saved By The Light
  I just saw this movie today for the first time and found it to be a very fascinating and powerful movie. Eric Roberts was outstanding. The subject matter of this movie is very close to me, and the way it was portrayed here was riveting. We are here to love and help one another, and it's frightening to come to the end and see that you haven't done that, and see the hurts you have caused. You could feel his struggles throughout, and could feel his transformation as time went on. I had no idea this was based on a true story. I highly recommend this movie. I can't wait to see it again....more info
• One of my favorites
  This is a fantastic movie about a man with a violent and immoral past finding the will to change after getting struck by lightening (how real this is portrayed is amazing!) I have read the book, but like the movie much more. Thanks to all who helped make this incredible story such a great movie....more info
• Life Enchancing and Life Changing!
  I first saw "Saved by the Light" when it was broadcast in 1995. I was in the hospital during the holidays and had just come out of intensivre csre. My hospital stay was difficult. This film touched me very deeply and was very healing. The next time I saw it was two years later, on the eve of another unexpected trip to the hospital! I mention this because, as you can see by many of these reviews, this film carries a meaning and purpose. Each time I saw it, it helped me deal with my situation immensely. Thanks to Eric Roberts for portraying such a dynamic, vivid Dannion! Thanks to Dannion for bringing his message to us. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this excellent, beautiful film. I hope you can find a copy. I shared my worn out copy, taped off TV, many times and have recently purchased a newer one here in ZShops. If you need a lift, or some faith...this one is for you!
