Customer Reviews: - Excellent Book!
My 18 month old loves to read this book with me, and also reads it by herself. She knows the answers to all but one question, and loves to answer the questions even without the book. She requests this book at every bedtime, and several times throughout the day....more info - We LOVE this book!
My daughter and I have been reading Karen Katz books together since she was able to sit up. This is an excellent addition to our collection! My daughter is now two-and-a-half, and she just LOVES the lift-a-flaps in these books. We have been working on manners, so this book is perfect. After reading these books a few times together, my daughter is able to read it back to me from memory, and she feels so proud when she finishes a book by herself. I highly recommend this and all of the Karen Katz books!!...more info - A fun way to teach a child about manners!!
My daugher loves the pictures in this book. She brings it to me to read to her several times a day. This book is one of her favorites!!...more info - Great for a two year old
This is an adorable book. The fact that it teaches manners is an added bonus. To me, the importance is that my two year old granddaughter can "read" it herself. At first I thought she could just give me the answers to the questions and that was cute enough. But then I overheard her "reading" it to her baby doll. What great self confidence this builds in a toddler. It is the best time to start building self esteem and making a child feel "smart"....more info - Wrong item
The book I recieved was not what I ordered. It's in the same series, so I kept it, but it's not what I ordered, and it took a very long time to arrive. Will not use this company again. ...more info - Why does she like it?
My 17 month old loves this book and has memorized all the answers. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it starts with 'Mommy says "Do you want peas for Breakfast?" You say "No, Thank you!" - I don't like this pg as I don't want her to learn to say 'No' to food (eventhough it's peas for bf) and currently her association of the word Thank you is when she recieves something ( I guess an older child will be able to distinguish). Besides, that page the rest is great....more info - Very pleasant
This is a very pleasant book to learn important things, which 1-year old son my loves ! The drawings are cute....more info - Nice introduction to manners
I really like this book and so does my 2-year old daughter. It is simple and short. She has started using the phrases that it introduces and it is so nice to hear her say "Thank You" and "I'm Sorry" without prompting. I recommend it as a good reminder tool for kids....more info - Really neat book!
I bought this book for my 2 year old and he loves to read it as part of our bedtime routine. He is really good at saying please and thank you, not sure if this book is why, but I sure it had a hand in it, due to repeating the concepts over and over. ...more info - 1 1/2 year old's favorite book
While I think the book will be terrific in a year to actually teach manners, at this point, my little guy is just entertained by the book. The pictures are simplistically expressive. He giggles every time we get to the second scenario (saying "Excuse me" when burping). He likes the participation of the turning pages. We typically end up reading this book 10 times a day, with my little fellow signing for more as I turn the last page.......more info - good manners
Ever since I bought this book, my daughter has improved on her manners. She loves reading this book with me and giving me all the answers. It makes for fun reading and she is starting to remember her manners when it counts. ...more info - My son just loves this book!
My son loves answering the questions in this book. Whenever he burps, he says, "Jacob burped. Excuse me." When someone offers him something, he says, "No, thank you," or "Yes, please." It's just so cute!!! We love it because it's a short, easy book. Just right for our son! God bless!...more info - Please buy this book for your child. Thank you.
We think this book is fun and age appropriate in helping little ones understand manners. My daughter's 19 months old and loves this book. It's great to hear her use her manners correctly. ...more info - Excuse Me!`
Very cute children's book that teaches manners! This was an important purchase for me as I would like to instill good manners in my son & this book demonstrates appropriate situations for these manners to be tested out on. Great pictures as well....more info - Perfect Introduction
This is a perfect book to introduce manner's to little one's. My son loves the book. In fact, he will place his hand over mouth when he burps & say excuse me. Absolutely suggest this one....more info - Wrong book
They sent the wrong book. They sent No Hitting which I did not order....more info - Great little book
We bought this for our grandson and he loves to flip the pages ... great little book....more info - Content is fine, format is not
My daughter is 19 months and has many books with toddler pages that she takes great care of. This book and the flaps have been nothing but a pain. The books content is OK, but I won't buy any more lift the flap books for several months. ...more info - Start early!
Good book to introduce children to say "please" & "thank you". You can never start too early for that!. Pictures are appropriate for 1 year and up. ...more info - What a wonderful world it would be if every child read this book!
Just perfect for the Wee Ones. This little flap book shows the way to good manners without preaching. A perfect book delight any small child. Ann Clarke, author of People Are So Different! based on tolerance and understanding....more info - I destroyed my book.
I received this book for my two year birthday. After reading it twice with mom I destroyed this book. It was too much fun to rip the flaps off. Mom had to throw it away....more info - Teaches polite responses in a fun way
A book-loving toddler will delight in lifting the full-page flaps and repeating the polite phrases--some in response to silly requests. I have received more "No thank yous" and "Yes pleases" since reading this book with my child....more info - wonderful book for reinforcing manners!
After reading this book several times everyday, I have it completely memorized from front to back. But my 3 year old loves this book, and has for a long time.
She especially loves lifting up the flaps, and I like that it's a fun, lighthearted book that includes good manners without being stiff or sounding instructional.
...more info - Great for babies & toddlers!!
I originally purchased this book as a gift, thinking it was too "babyish" for my 2 1/2 yr. old. But he saw it and loved it! The words are so simple to read and understand that it has become a great learning tool as he begins to focus on the letters and sounds of words. Great pictures and great ideas. It's really helped him understand how, when and why to say things like "excuse me or thank you."...more info - baby doesn't like this author as much as I do
I really like Karen Katz. I think her books are cute and sweet. This one is no exception. The only problem is, my baby isn't really all that interested in them! He's still young, so they don't hold his attention. He usually loves when I read to him, though... so it's strange! Oh well, I will try again when he's older maybe :)...more info - Easy to read, fun book!
This is one of two board books by Karen Zatz we bought for our 12 month old baby. The book is very easy to read with short questions like "You burped, what do you say"? When you open the flap there is a bright, fun picture & the words "Excuse Me" written inside. My child loves to be read to & responded well to this book at a young age....more info
