Overview - IVR;VoiceCenter? IVR Hosting

Building, managing, and growing IVR and VoiceXML infrastructure can be a complex and costly endeavor. Upfront requirements regularly exceed $3,000 in hard costs per line. IT staff may spend over 100 hours on installation, configuration, and integration. These challenges do not end. Requirements for additional capacity, reliability, and redundancy scale continually as IVR applications grow.

Fortune 50, mid-sized, and small & innovative enterprises use Voxeo's VoiceCenter IVR Hosting services to overcome these challenges quickly and with significantly reduced up-front and ongoing costs.

Voxeo VoiceCenter IVR hosting delivers the full value of our agile as an on-demand service, powered by and standards. VoiceCenter IVR Hosting supports traditional touch-tone IVR, speech recognition, database integration, flexible CTI, call control and recording, conferencing, and more.

How does VoiceCenter IVR hosting compare to other IVR solutions?

Voxeo's VoiceCenter IVR Hosting services offer significant advantages over other IVR hosting solutions, including full geographic redundancy, 100% W3C IVR standards support, a comprehensive customer portal, and more:

SRGS is the W3C standard for voice recognition grammar definition. Most VoiceXML Vendors Support SRGS. SSML is the W3C standard for text-to-speech synthesis definition and guidance. Voxeo's VoiceCenter platform features full support for the SSML standard, giving you extensive control over speech synthesis. VoiceXML 2.1 adds support for new, valuable features including improved flow control and built-in data interfaces. CCXML is the W3C standard for telephony call control. It includes call routing, conferencing, dialing, and more. W3C IVR standards include VoiceXML, CCXML, SRGS, and SSML. Many vendors support only VoiceXML and SRGS. CallXML is a Voxeo-designed language that is much easier to develop applications in than VoiceXML and CCXML. Many tasks, including voice user interface tuning and third-party verification of telephone sales transactions require the ability to record both sides of a call. Most VoiceXML vendors do not offer this capability. Most VoiceXML platforms can only bridge or connect two parties. The Voxeo VoiceCenter platform can connect 2 to 200 parties in a single session. Most VoiceXML platforms have no - or very limited - Voice over IP support. The Voxeo VoiceCenter Platform is a full-featured SIP solution, and includes its own SIP Softswitch/proxy server, media server, call control server, and more. Most VoiceXML platforms support only English, or only one language at a time. The VoiceCenter platform features dynamic support for English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian speech recognition and synthesis. Most VoiceXML platforms have little if any CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) support. CTI is required for most call center IVR deployments. Voxeo offers CTI solutions for Cisco ICM, Genesys T-Server, and Nortel and Avaya call center platforms. Additional CTI interfaces can be built quickly via Voxeo's CCXML based CTI-plug-in interface. The VoiceCenter platform includes intelligent call analysis to determine if outbound calls are answered by people, answering machines, voicemail systems, or network error messages. This capability is vital when using IVR for outbound notification, collections, and campaign calls. Voxeo has deployed two fully redundant IVR hosting facilities in Orlando, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia. Both sites work in tandem to balance and distribute calls. Should one facility experience an outage, all new calls automatically fail over to the other. The VoiceCenter platform has proven scalability from as few as 1 to as many as 5,000 ports. Most vendors have not deployed VoiceXML IVR systems larger than 200 ports. Voxeo uniquely offers the VoiceCenter platform as either a premise solution you can buy outright, or hosted service you can use by the minute. Simply put, Voxeo is the industry leader in proactive and reactive support services. We offer 24 x 7 support with fully trained, VoiceXML certified technicians and IVR developers. No matter when a problem occurs, our top-notch staff is available to help you. Voxeo VoiceCenter IVR Hosting includes a comprehensive customer portal for application provisioning, monitoring, debugging, and more. Voxeo's unique trouble ticket system automatically opens tickets when problems occur, and can notify you or your team via email, instant messaging, phone calls, and more. Your IVR prompts and scripts can be stored or cached by the built in web-caching and hosting infrastructure at each of our facilities, delivering unmatched quality of service for your applications. Your web and IVR application, database, middleware, and other servers can be colocated at Voxeo for fast access to our IVR platforms and round-the-clock monitoring by Voxeo NOC staff. If you don't have your own web and IVR application, database, middleware or other back-end servers, Voxeo can provide those servers and mange them for you.

In addition to the features above, VoiceCenter IVR hosting delivers:

Quick deployment with lower total cost: Voxeo VoiceCenter IVR Hosting is a pre-deployed, managed solution that will get your IVR applications up and running with little up-front cost, low IT overhead, and the capacity to grow to thousands of reliable and redundant lines on demand.

Total redundancy with no single point of failure: VoiceCenter IVR Hosting features IVR platforms owned and managed by Voxeo at our redundant hosting facilities in Orlando, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia. These facilities work in tandem to load-balance and failover all calls to and from your IVR applications. If a problem occurs at one location, calls are seamlessly moved to the other. Each facility has redundant utilities, network connectivity, and servers that eliminate all single points of failure.

IVR managed by pro's, while applications remain in your control: While core and costly IVR infrastructure runs at our facilities, the VoiceCenter IVR Hosting service leverages two web-based W3C industry standards - and - to make it easy for you to run your IVR application, database, and back-end logic from your existing web infrastructure. Alternatively, Voxeo can run the back-end infrastructure for you, too.

Standards-based flexibility: Many IVR providers offer proprietary platforms that make it difficult to switch vendors. Even other VoiceXML providers use proprietary call-control and VoiceXML tags - available only in their hosted service - to accomplish the same result. In contrast, Voxeo's platforms are based entirely on the W3C VoiceXML IVR and CCXML call-control standards, and are openly available as either a hosted service or customer-owned platform. We prefer to keep our customers through service excellence, not platform lock-in.

Ongoing enhancements and investments: To date, Voxeo has invested over $40 million in the infrastructure that supports our IVR hosting services. We continually invest in the evaluation and deployment of new, best-of-breed speech recognition, text-to-speech, and other technologies to deliver state-of-the-art IVR capabilities. Our customers leverage these investments to bring new and improved IVR applications to market.

Unmatched customer service and support: From our Network Operations Center in Orlando, Florida, Voxeo's Extreme Support team proactively monitors and manages your hosted IVR solutions. We answer support calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and use an automated trouble ticket system and proven process to track and resolve problems. When surveyed, our customers give us extremely high marks for customer service excellence and tell us our support is dramatically superior to that of our competitors.

A proven track record of industry firsts: Voxeo is a company of many firsts:

2000 - First to adopt flexible Voice over IP telephony.
2000 - First to offer XML call control.
2001 - First to offer VoiceXML hosting.
2002 - First to offer CCXML hosting.
