Call center outsourcing has in the recent times proved to be one of the most successful ways through which most of the organizations increase their respective cost effectiveness. Many large international companies such as GE, American Express, Sprint, Dell, AOL, and Amazon have managed to improve their cost efficiency through call center outsourcing.
Basically after outsourcing their call center work to lower cost locations like India, most of the Fortune 500 companies have managed to improve their cost effectiveness by upto 50 per cent. In addition to this they have also improved the quality of their customer support and satisfaction.
A large number of companies have followed into this route of call center outsourcing after observing the success that these businesses have achieved due to the outsourcing.
A large number of the global multi nationals are transferring large chunks of their business processes to offshore locations since the costs incurred under such a system are relatively much lower. In fact dramatic results have been observed by the companies, which choose to outsource. This is especially the case in IT outsourcing where a cost reduction of 50 to 60 per cent has been achieved.
Some of the major reasons for these lower outsourcing costs in India are lower labor costs, a plentiful and highly skilled work force, and increasing offshore capabilities by service providers in countries like India.
