Even though I didn't buy this router from amazon.com, I have had relative success with linksys and this router. The internal adapted, which I also bought at the same time as I purchased the router, has had no trouble at all. However...I have had to call linksys at least 5 times since I've had this router about issues related to the router and the linksys service. The problems that I've had were more closely linked to the linksys service than the actual router, since they would update my router w...
This is by far the worst router I have ever owned. I suppose I will just break its many flaws into sections.
The router I got worked when wired; to a point. I was able to access the router just fine. I could ping, login, and edit settings. However when attempting to load a web page the router took approximately 15 minutes per page.
I used this in conjunction with an Intel 4965AGN mini PCIe card. Web pages loaded fast and re...
I got this router on the assumption that Linksys had a reputation from their earlier wireless B & G routers. What a mistake! This router does not do N under any circumstances. Even Linksys recommends that it should only be set to B & G and even that is also problematic. That should tell you something when the company itself admits its that N does not work on it. I smell class-action suit here. I also tried the WRT150N and its marginally better with 15 meg of memory versus the WRT300N 32 ...
This was a referb, and it works great. The led lights on it are very dim and difficult to see. That is my only complaint....
With the second baby sleeping in our office, we needed a router to be able to access the internet after bedtime so we could carry on with essentials--you know, bills, work, email, Netflix.
But six months after installing this router, and it set up very easily out of the box, it started having a spotty signal--some times it would show up, most times it wouldn't. Then it quit broadcasting at all. We IM'd the Linksys support people and eventually got told it was our service provider'...
This router is fast. Because I have much experience with IP configurations I was able to get this dog running on both wired & wireless systems. However, if your have a SlingBox TV system in order to view your TV remotely (i.e. via your PDA or Phone) FORGET IT! This POS is incompatible with SlingBox equipment.
At first, I was really worried about buying this router as I first read the other reviews. It was recommended to me by a friend of mine, who is quite technical. I decided to throw caution to the wind and purchase it because I have a large home, and quite a large yard and wanted to extend my signal range to use my laptop outside. I have a mix of Apple machines and Windows machines in the house (Apple G4 Laptop, iMac, Gateway Laptop and Sony Vaio).
Upon receipt I merely opened the box,...
Advanced Call Center is a full-featured yet easy-to-use answering machine
software for your voice modem. All necessary functions are supported: Caller
ID lets you see and hear who's calling via screen pop-ups, distinctive rings,
call recording, and caller's name announcement with speech synthesis. "Black"
and "white" list functions filter calls based on caller database, call origin
and other parameters.
The program maintains a telephone number database including
custom sound alerts for a caller, as well as other caller's details. It
provides a per-caller customizable ring alert sound and a pop-up window to
notify you about an incoming call.
With Dialgo Personal Call Center from United Research, you can program your
computer to have spoken dialogues over your phone with full bloodied email
(Internet) manipulation. You can connect to the Internet, download and read
out email report, send auto reply emails or simply use the Call Center as a
Caller ID Answering Machine. Currently Dialgo works over regular wave device
modems like 56K US Robotics with single-line phone connections.
With its twenty script items (see picture), Dialgo makes it possible to
develop solid and reliable Personal Telephony Call Center Scripts with Fully
Integrated Speech Recognition and Speech Synthesis under Microsoft SAPI5.1

Have had Linksys routers for my business for the last 6 years. Have had both good and bad ones. This Router is amazing. The firmware works well and is easy to configure. Would buy this product again and again. ...
The product was received promptly.
Installation was simple.
It works as advertised, no problems.
The price beat the lowest local competition....
Router working very good, only problem with reset button it's located very inconvenient , in the middle of the router, when you try to move
you can accidentally press it and your router/security reset, or small kid can press it very easy which in my case happen very often :).
Plus it would be much batter if Linksys soft working much faster....
I have a Linksys WRT54G Wireless-G Router and i tried it at a friend's house which is much bigger than mine. It did not cover the entire house so we decided to get this the Linksys WRT300N Wireless-N Broadband Router for her with the hope it would do a better job, afterall it is advertised as giving X3 the range as the wireless-G. Did it work? Not as i thought it would. Before purchasing we tried to get product information on the range of these items and that was so difficult. Afer endless searc...
The Linksys WRT300N is a good router, but after having it for a year, I had to ditch it for NetGear, and it wasn't so much that it didn't work, but when I tried tech-support for the second time (I used it during the initial installation) when I added my wife's computer that ran on Vista, I had to go through several "unknowledgeable" people, who sounded like they were from India who were not trained in tech support. I fault Cisco and the Linksys people, not the folks from India, for the poor tec...
I bought this router on my way home from work today, got it home, took it out of the box, followed the amazingly precise directions, and within 40 minutes, I had my old desktop and my new laptop online and working great. I was really impressed with the speed. I live in an apartment, so range is not an issue with me. All these negative reviews about setting up routers really had me frightened, but this was all really straightforward and easy to do for me and my setup.
NOTE-- Mine was version...
This is a great router. Just don't try to use the installation disk that comes with it. Go online to Linksys to do your install....
I just bought the WRT300N, V 1.0, brought it home and tried to run the setup CD. The setup CD got stuck at the password page, I messed with that for 15 - 20 minutes, called tech support and they informed me that the setup CD was faulty. They walked me through downloading the setup file online and told me to call back if I had problems --- my computer would not recognize the router at all. I called back, they walked me through the manual set-up, we got to the end and I could not connect on lin...
I really, really want to love this router. It's got the familiar, easy-to-use interface for setup which makes it fast to setup for almost anyone.
When it works, it gets good distance and it's lightning speed fast. When it works.
It drops the internet signal sometimes a few times per day. I either have to wait for it to come back up or reboot it; this is annoying when I'm in the middle of something.
My frustration is in that Linksys has failed to fix this pro...
